Yes, I finally got the album last week! Now that I have listened to the album a couple of times, I can safely say that it is yet another great album!

Jet Lag and Astronaut were their first singles and they are good although I like Astronaut more. The album is retained the style of SP and more of the same is a problem when it is good right?

Other songs that are good include Last One Standing, This Song Saved My Life, Freaking Me Out and Loser of the Year.

Overall, it is a pretty solid album! I'll probably give it a 7.8/10.

Yeah, this weekend I'll be having outfield. Well, just covering for an exercise...

That means I am miss saturday's football... Which kinda sucks considering I already missed a few sessions... Yes, its due to Warhammer 40K... Anyways, I still get to get offs due to serving on the weekends, planning to use it on the 27th. So that I can watch Liverpool win the Carling Cup! Wohoo!!!

Not even sure when is the next time I can go out with my friends. Gotta settle my oversea trip, got a Hive Fleet vs Hive Fleet game coming up, models to paint... Maybe Neroshaa's birthday party on the 25th. If it on... Yes, its Neroshaa's birthday! 21 lo!!! Haven gotten the present though... Gotta rush for it before the party.

In other stuff, I like my company... The people are nice, not all but at least the medics and HQ people are nice. I don't have to chiong sua... Just have to train up for my IPPT, along with VOC etc... Yeah, lucky posting. :)

Anyways, got loads of ang pao! 3 to be exact! But it is the contents that matter rite? Let's just say, their contents are very good. =)

My bro got me a present!!! Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic comic! But funny that he got me volume 4! I never read 1, 2 or 3 before! Still, it is something that I like! =)

So how I spend my birthday? First I got an early scare! The medic spec called me in the morning, asking me if I can come back to do medical centre duty... Why would I waste my weekend rite? Be it my birthday or not. Seriously...

Anyways, when out to PI Midpoint to get more Termagants!!! So I just sit there and fix them up lo! I completed 20 of them and that takes my termagant count to 25!!!

While working, I met a Tyranid player name William! He hasn't had an official game yet so we planned to have a game on the following week!!! Tyranids VS Tyranids!!! So that is cool... If I lose arh... Seriously arh, cannot lose arh...

After that I just when shopping and I bought Shindler's List on DVD!!! Yeah!! It's a good movie! Seriously good!

Then I came home and my cousins and family had a simple cake thing... Which I dislike so I chap-chap faster finish... Then watched Liverpool lose to Manchester United... Sad... But o well...

Yeah... That's about it I guess... Not much of a birthday person so that's it. Now I got a huge amount of reserves... Must not anyhow spend... Especially on Warhammer 40K. I think my army is pretty big liao. And I won't make any big investments any time soon...

Things might have changed abit... Although I want to study in Manchester... I might not be able to...

Considering my father is most unreliable among other things. Don't get me wrong, I am not the kind thaat leech off their parents. I won't go if they are unwilling to pay. My mother can't afford it but my dad probably can. I am address them seperately cos I think they are divorced. It is my assumption but if they not, they suure behave like they are.

Anyways, if my dad isn't going to pay then I'll study in NTU. Which I don't like but it has its perks.

Well, my family and friends are here. My mum might be sick, still waiting for the diagnosis. My friends are here, considering we hang out lesser, I appreciate their company more. Staying here means I'll get to go out with them. Other things include I still can continue my Warhammer 40k and Xbox 720 or whatever the fuck Microsoft wanna call it...

Ok, I don't like local universities way of jam you with info and test you and stuff. But that is just my assumption and I cannot assume that Manchester won't be the same... I don't want to spend another extra year in University and get a degree that is some what inferior (according to ranking in science or biology). Anyways, I am gonna apply and see how ba. If I get in and my dad is ok then good. But I'll try to get a scholarship also, probably one with bond. But it is not that bad actually. And I don't have to owe my father...

Senind Fu Yee off! New Die!!!

Alright! Went to send Fu Yee off to China!!! 6 months in China without Facebook and Youtube... Well, there are ways around the censorship...

It would really suck if she can't Facebook or watch Youtube. I know I will die!

I wish I had more photos but they were taken in Poloaroid and Fu Yee took them with her... I doubt I'll ever see those photos cos I doubt she would scan and post it... No facebook then post where rite?

Hope she have fun there but most importantly take care of herself there...

Ok, after sending Fu Yee off. I went to get a new set of dice!!!

Nice right!? Transparent purple!!! This will be my Killer Dice! Give me good rolls to kill things! My greend gold set will be my back up dices while my GW dices will be my wound counters. =)

Gonna bring this set to camp and bond with them over the week... And may the Dice Gods bless them!!! Good Rolls to Come!!!

More Warhammer stuff and Chronicles!!!

Yeah... I'm talking more about Warhammer 40k again... But it is kinda different. I am gonna talk about the people playing with me...

I am currently playing with Daryl and Yuki... Very nice people... Obviously, if they are not nice, why would I hang rite?

I am grateful that Daryl was willing to offer his help, allowing me to go to his house and teach me and stuff... You know, it makes things easier for me. =)

Slowly but surely... I am getting the hang of things... Today we had 2 on 1 match. Which was Yuki and I (aka The Noobs) vs Daryl (aka Pro)... Although we got 1000 points of our army combining to 2000 points we still lost to Daryl's 1750 point army! TWICE!!! Once against his Death Wing army and then against his Tau army...

But I got better... You know in terms of killing stuff. But still need to work on my tactics and get more effective units. =)

Anyways, when to watch Chronicles with the guys. Siva, Haris, Louis, Bernard, James, Vicknesh and An Wei! Met up early and hang abit before the movie. So yeah... Hope we can do it again! Maybe movie or maybe just going to Bark Cafe for food and chill. =D

1 month late New Years Resolution!

I kinda forgotten about the resolutions I set last year! So I am here to do that post!

My 2011 resolutions are

1. DON'T DIE IN NS!
2. LOSE WEIGHT!
3. DO MY BEST IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS OF SCHOOL!!!

So... For No.1, since I am blogging here... I am alive! So Pass!!!

2... Lose weight arh... Kinda up and down leh... BMT lost weight be gain it all back... So FAIL!!!

As for 3... I think I did well for my last semester of DBS... Kinda pulled my grades up quite abit. So Pass!!!

Now... I need set a couple of resolutions for 2012!!!

Now... I am not a Medic in an engineering unit... Which doesn't give me much to do... But at least now I got PT and stuff...

So my first goal is to...

Get Silver for IPPT and past the Vocation Obstacle Course!

I think I cannot even pass now... So I got 1 year to achieve that goal.

2nd... I love Warhammer 40k but I am abit lazy to go assemble and paint all of my units... Even with an assembled army... It's just no right for me to field an army that is all white... So...

Assemble and Paint my 2000 point Tyranids army!

Lastly... I think time has been weirdly scarce lastly... Everyone asking me out and parties and stuff... It is good to hang out with people and at the same time I want to satisfy everyone... So

To my best of my ability, go out with friends more often and 1 photo taken and blogged for each outing!

Alright... That is about it... I'll blog about Joanne's party tomorrow or something... I want the photos... hahahas!

It was a bad match... Really bad match... Defense was crap, mid-field lacked control, attack lack edge... BAD BAD BAD!

Now at this point we need to honestly ask if Top 4 is still reachable... I'll say no...

We are normally very strong defensively... But don't know WTF happened today... Enrique has been performing well as left back suddenly struggle in the match... And attacked wise, Bellamy was the one bright spark during the match. Driving forward to score. And he did.

Be really, he is on a wavelength of his own. He needs a strike partner...

I can go on about alot of things... Like why is Maxi playing left wing and not Downing. Henderson is crap. Carroll isn't suited for the current system etc... But I am lazy... So yeah...

At this point, if we win the Carling Cup... I'll be very happy. =) If we win that, I think we at least get the Europa spot. Which is better than nothing...

Yes, I know... I've been posting alot about Warhammer 40K lately... So football now...

TORRES!!! WHY CAN'T YOU SCORE!? It is now 15 games without a goal... And really, I am pretty much a casual Chelsea fan now... Considering I am watching Chelsea matches whenever I can... Just to see Torres score...

But he DOESN'T SCORE! It is so frustrating! To be really honest, he is playing ok... He is putting in effort... Attacking the ball... Covering defence... But his first touch and finishing is just not there... He isn't gonna get many more starts, considering the Lukaku dude really show some great skill when he came on as a substitute.

Anyways, Bolton Vs Liverpool is at 1.30am... So I got like 2 hours to spare... Maybe play some games I guess...

Super tiring day today...

I woke up early to go to Art Friend to pick up some supplies for my and my mentor Daryl. I was already late for our meeting... But yeah...

Rushed to Daryl's place for more training... Unlike the last game, I am playing against a very experienced player...

So it was Tyranids Vs Tau! 1000 points! Basically, I got my ass kicked... But I managed to do some damage against him...

Then I got DESTROYED by his Space Marines!!! And I use more points!!! Well... I kinda spam my deep strike... But deep striking units that cannot shoot... In short, I was just giving him targets to shoot...

Anyways, I just gotten more units... 1 Trygon, 2 Zoanthropes, 2 Hive Guards and 6 Tyranid Warriors! In short, my army is turning out to be a Nidzilla army... Loads of monstrous creatures... Once I am done with these guys... I'll have a solid 1000 points army, not like the one I have now where I have to upgrade like fuck to reach 1000 points.

Getting my ASS KICKED!!!

Alright... When I just left Daryl's place... I got a call from Louis... Asking me to go to Fu Yee's B'day party... I was like ' Her birthday is 1st March what... '. Ok, in short, she's leaving for China in February.

So yeah... I was suppose to have dinner with my mother and go shopping for stuff... In the end... I got to Parkway Parade and was panicking for a present luh! But got that done and rushed to the party lo... I was planning to surprise everyone but fail can!? I took the elevator and everyone is outside! Fail...

But it was great to see everyone... At this point, I am super tired and cannot be my usual hyper self... But yeah, got to talk to people, had cake and stuff... It was a pretty good day. I'm probably gonna go for Joanne's 21st B'day also! I want my photos!!!

Selling my Xbox 360 aka Penelope II

Yes... I've decided to put Penelope II on sale. I jus don't use her any more. Yes, I still play fifa 12 and a few games but no longer do I play those 4 or 5 hour sessions anymore.

And I am selling her at a lot cheaper than I got her... Considering she is actually 2 Xbox 360 in one. Of course, she will always be remebered. Whatrever funds she raise, will go into my Tyranids army and I'll paint something special on those units.

Well... My heart aches but I know that the Xbox 720 will be coming in 2 yrs, so once I get out of NS... Perfect timing.

Tyranids VS Chaos Space Marines! First Win!

It was Tyranids VS Chaos Space Marines!!! 750 points!

Let's start from the beginning... So I was looking for a game on the facebook page... But no one wanted to play with me cos my army is kinda fucked up... So this dude named Daryl decided to play with me and teach me more stuff...

I was kinda cautious... Going to someone's house when you don't really know the person at all. But it turn out good. Daryl is a really nice guy, share some of his experience with Warhammer 40k etc...

So my opponent was this lady, Yuki. She plays Chaos Space Marines and this is her second game. Daryl was like the referee and guided us through out the match.

Yuki had 2 squads of Chaos Marines, 2 Predator tanks, 1 Defiler and 1 squad of Chaos terminators. I got my 3 squads of Genestealers and 1 Hive Tyrant. Does look like she brought alot more than me rite? Cos of my lack of units, I have to upgrade the heck out of what I have to used up as much of the 750 points.

The game was really fun. My genestealers did a great job chewing up the heretics. Yuki had bad rolls through out the match and the fact that she kinda miss out at least on chance to shoot me kinda help me won. I think if Yuki was more experienced, the result would have been different.

I'll bring a camera next time so that I can post photos of the games.

My first two Warhmaer 40k games were against a 9 and a 14 year old! And I lost both... But that's not the point, I learn a lot!

I really appreciate the help I got from 'tank' at Battle Bunker and some of the guys there. I arrived early for the game and was entertainment by 'tank', talking about Warhammer 40k stuffs. Then 9 year old Joshua came into the shop and 'tank' said we should have a game since we are both new. So the kid was playing 620 points Space Marines against my 750 points Tyranids. Yes, it was an unfair advantage but most of my points were on my hive tyrant and I didn't use any of those points.

Anyways, I had 2 group of 8 genestealers and my hive tyrant. I got a 3rd grp of 8 genestealers in reserves. I pretty much got my ass kicked during the first half of the game cos the only my hive tyrant can shoot and my gun is too weak to do anything to his tanks... So I just keep getting shot at and dying...

It is only until the 3rd turn when my reserves managed to get in then I actually did get some action. So they outflanked and enter the field from the side and charged at one of his squads. In one charge they totally ate up all 10 of his marines! That was pretty much it... I managed to kill his commander and one or two more marines before I got destroyed... Of course, he is 9... So he got some help from 'Tank', still my hive tyrant was really having a hard time killing his tanks...

Anyways, then came my 2nd match up... Against a 14 year old! When he told me to find the guy with the field pack... I tot he was an NSF sia... Turns out, his field pack was for his Boys Brigade camp... Anyways, it was 750 points Necrons against 750 points Tyranids. Now this game felt more like a game cos we are level on points and it was actually 1 on 1. I GOT DESTROYED! I deployed my army like I did in the first game... In his first turn, he destroyed 1 group of 8 genestealers with one blast!!! So yeah... I pretty much got destroyed in two turns...

Now I have an idea of the game and what needs to be added to my army... Currently... shooting and anti tanks is what I need. Considering my genestealers are close combat specialist, I must give them cover fire so that they can reach their target. And tanks are just killing me man... So after the game, I when to get a Zoanthrope!

Of course, 1 might help abit... I need like 3 to make a effective anti-tank unit! Anyways, one step at a time... Will try to get another game next week!

Let's talk Tyranids...

Yeah... I've been feeling the Warhammer 40K vibe lately. Partially because I finally went to work on my Hive Tyrant and paint my Genestealers.

I've received alot of help, online as well as from the players at Paradigm Infinitum. I also have a potential match at the end of January! Whether that match will be my first game or not remains to be seen...

Anyways, my painting skills are still pretty bad... But they have gotten better. I need new brushes, that's for sure.

Now I that I have 3 sets of Troops and my HQ. Considering all my troops are genestealers and they are melee specialist, they can't shoot! So I need some support! Support in the form of the Elites!

Now I have been planning on my army for some time now, so I am stuck between getting a Broodlord, 3 Hive Guards or a group of Ygmgarl genestealers...

Broodlord is pretty much a stronger version of a genestealer and it can join a group of genestealers to make that group stronger. Not to mention it looks very fierce.

The Hive Guards are like the artillery of my army! The have a long range weapon that pack a decent strength. Having 3 of them in a group can really do some damage! The can offer some cover fire while my genestealers work to get closer and melee my enemies.

As for the Ygmgarl genestealers they are just special genestealers that can alter their form to make themselves strong. And they can hide in terrains then pop out to attack... Still, they are melee...

To be honest, it is just a matter of time before I get all of them... It is just a question of which ones to get first... Anyways, I am still think about that... I really want to field 3 Hive Guards in a group to bring in some real fire power... But at 40 bucks per Hive Guard, it will take some time to get all 3...

Oh well, I still got sometime before my first match... Worst come to worst, I'll just field whatever I have and play to learn instead of play to win...

Yeah! Finally, we got a gathering!

Steamboat at my place, which is a tradition that I am trying to start. Last year, it was at Ben's place. This year its at mine. I don't mind hosting it again next year if it means keeping the tradition alive! =)

Thanks Jason, Ming Sheng, Haris, Hafiz, Siva, Louis, Bernard and Vicknesh (Well, he only joint us for movie).

The gathering was pretty simple, the usual games and steamboat lo. Of course the more interesting parts is just sharing and finally get to bond after some time.

Ok, I need to make it mandatory that we have a group photo for every gathering.

We went to watch Sherlock Holmes! I was super excited for the movie cos I loved the first one. But the 2nd is abit too long and I feel the 'slow-mo' effect is a little bit overused... But it was still an enjoyable movie.

Yes!!! I have finished assembling my Hive Tyrant!

Actually, I still have some minor details have finish and I haven painted it.

I am naming it... Cos it is my HQ and it is a unique character. OK... Why Sticky? Cos I kinda assembled this over 2 days... Both at Paradigm Infinitum at Fusionopolis! Yesterday and today... So I had to use metal glue... But I didn't cap my glue properly and today... All my files are covered with glue... So I had to buy new glue and files... My hands were covered with glue and tissue for the entire day... So ya... Sticky!

Taylor's B'day is on the 13th... And since I will be in camp on the 13th. I'm gonna post an early Taylor Swift Birthday Post!

It was 10 months ago that I saw Taylor perform at the Indoor Stadium. Still the best memory of the year. I really want to see her perform again. And it is still possible! Cos Taylor is gonna perform in Australia in March. I might just take leave and go Australia to watch her perform. Just an idea.

FINALLY!!! I got the CD+DVD!!!

The DVD! The concert is great! Taylor sings live! She sound slightly different from the album. Which is normal. The concerts in the US are much more grand that the one I went to! Which only make me wanna see here perform overseas even more!

My favorite performence are:

Haunt ( Taylor's blood red dress is AWESOME! It is also cool enough that it is something one can cosplay as a Sith in. It is like a leather top but the bottom of the dress was like shredded and blackened tip )

Better Than Revenge ( The song was damn cool but what makes it very better is Grant and Mike's guitar duet at the end! )
Sparks Fly ( Cos it was the opening song and my favorite song off her Speak Now album ).

What I think is cool is that Taylor had photos of The Agency ( Taylor's band ) on the big screen when Taylor was singing Fifteen. It showed each of them when they were 15 and them now! That video was also the credits of the DVD.

For the extras, it was Home Videos of Taylor from Birth to Now! It is very sweet... To see how Andrea ( Taylor's mum ) read to Taylor, Taylor and her Dad etc. The other extra was Taylor's rehearsals! Which is also cool!

The CD! It is great that it is was songs from the concerts and not the Speak Now cd! Which is awesome! Cos Taylor sings a couple of cover songs and her mash ups! Taylor covers songs like Drops of Jupiter, Better Davis Eyes and I Want You Back! Then Taylor's mash up of Back to December - Apologize - You're Not Sorry is just amazing! Send chills down my spine. Since I got it, the CD is the only songs I listen to!

The scoreline don't really tell the entire story. Cos it is pretty much Liverpool all the way. The reasons for the low score line? Some luck, poor finishing and good goalkeeper.

There were times when I was like ' HOW THE HELL DID WE NOT SCORE!? ' . Maxi had an awesome chance to score in the first half but somehow... It was awesome keeping but it is also because Maxi didn't really kept composed to slot it in. Suarez also had a header which Cerny read well and made an easy save...

Eventually, Suarez breaks the deadlock which an another header. There is a part of me that was very happy... Cos he's been having a goal drought and he is one of those goal hungry player... At times, he get super angsty when he don't get a goal and get substituted off. So a goal for him might cheer him up luh. Overall, it is job done. But the finishing really need to be worked on...

2. Because I am in NS, I can't take care of it everyday... Only the weekends... Which will be irresponsible.

When I get my own place, I'll get a pet cat! I know cats are difficult pets. But when I am committed to something, I'll follow through. Most importantly, I must be responsible for the cat...

Money troubles!

Yeah... It is more a money management kind of problem... So many wants... But not enough money... So I have to really think before I buy stuff...

What's worst is that my mother just asked me to give her 200 bucks a month so that she can save for me... Which is ridiculous...

Considering I am self-sufficient... At $520 a month... I pretty much pay for everything except for my phone bill... Which is 36 bucks a month...

In the pass, I would my parents would pay for most of my stuff. Including my wants... But I just want to be independent. What is the point if I give them 200 bucks a month to save but I still reach out to them for money when I run out of it...

I know, I've been spending a lot lately... But now I am just gonna prioritize my wants and needs... And use my cash wisely...

OK... Things on my list:

Taylor Swift Speak Now CD+DVD: ~ 30bucks
Darth Maul Damaged FX Lightsaber: ~ 100bucks
CDs: ~ 20 bucks each
Assorted Shirts: ~ 25 bucks each

That is about it... I think the lightsaber is out for sure... I already have one... True, it doesn't have sound... But their purpose is to decorate my room... So I think one will do... Comics... I enjoy them a lot more than reading... So yeah... I'll get like one a month I guess... As for CDs: I am thinking of going digital... It is so much cheaper to get songs at $9.99 per album... I'll only buy the album if they are from artist I really like... Like Taylor, Simple Plan, Avril etc... Finally, the CD+DVD... Its TAYLOR SWIFT... So that is an instant win...

Notice that games ain't on the list... Well... I think games will be like a once in a while kind of thing from now... One is that I don't really have the mood to game... Two, no game interest me except Star Wars: The Old Republic... And that is a MMO... Another problematic situation...

Anyways... I am experimenting on some shots... I'll post them if they turn out good...

My dad is concern that I am spending too much... Yes, I've been buying a lot of stuff lately. Comics, games, just yesterday a lens... But actually, I don't think I am spending a lot. I only spend my NS allowance and pretty much all of it. My bank account don't read $0 though cos I still got some money I saved from working...

Anyways, I don't think I am spending a lot... Just whatever I can afford...

Ok! Today! I went to my dentist! Got one tooth extracted... So yeah... I got the tooth! Maybe I can photograph it tomorrow. I know it is disgusting...

Ok! Got my Canon 50mm F1.8 today!!! It is a pretty cheap but good lens. I'll have some fun with it.

Back from my confinement!!! It is actually pretty fun. Ok, we had to do some cleaning and shit... But it was a great opportunity to know my platoon-mates.

Ok... I've been really confused lately... Cos I got some many things to do and I used to have time to do them all... Now I don't...

Warhammer 40k... Gaming... Photography...

So now I have to make a choice... Which one is my really interest... Warhammer 40k is really fun but it is very time consuming... I have to paint and everything... This does not mean I'll stop entirely... It just means I'll get back to it when I have time and the feeling comes back...

Gaming was one of my great love... But now a days... I feel so disengaged from my games... Somehow I do feel the sense of enjoyment that I used to feel with games... Even Batman AC can't ignite that passion... I just blaze through the game, finish it and left the game there...

Photography is probably the one that would go well in the long run... Yes, it is the most expensive of the 3 and I am not very good at it... But time and practice I guess... Up until yesterday, I didn't have much inspiration for photos... But after reading some magazines from last year ( I was super free during confinement ), I got some things I want to try out. Maybe next weekend! O yeah! I also got this HOYA Polarizing filter from my Dad's friend! Free! Expensive hor! One is nearly 80 bucks can!? Anyways, going to have a go at it next week also.

As for new equipments... I am thinking of saving up for a lens... It is gonna take some time... But I hope I get the $ required by August next year... Yeah... 2000+ bucks man... Unless I read up on cheaper alternatives... =D

Funny how 8 years just flew past... Had Lunch at Vicky's place yesterday. Just a simple Deepavali lunch.

Got to see Coach! In some ways, he is like an uncle to me...

Vicky, Sashi, Louis, Siva, Alvin, Daryl and my bro... Good food, good friends and good times.

After that Louis, Siva, Daryl, my bro and I went to watch In Time... The movie was ok... Not a movie that I would watch again.

On the way to home... Louis and I kinda recalled how we met in EVSS for the first time... 8 years man... I had this ground of friends for 8 great years.

8 years may not be a very long time... But it was 8 years filled with many memories... Some in Video and Photos... Shared here also...

I know that everyone is occupied... Most by NS... And I don't know what is ahead of us... But I hope that things continue to be awesome.

Boring weekend! Well, I didn't have much planned. So had some alone time in Orchard road. Shopped for comics! Wohoo! 20% Off!

I haven read it yet. But I've finish Batman Arkham City!

Hmm... Funny enough, this game didn't really impress me as much as the first game... It is cool to see all the villains and all... But each of them can have a story of their own... But they end up as side characters. The story is pretty good. A small twist in the end, which I liked. =D

Catwoman is AWESOME! I like playing Catwoman more than Batman. But I didn't get to play Robin though... Maybe in the side missions or I missed out something...

Anyways, booking in tonight! Got IV tomorrow and A&P test on Wednesday! Yeah... MCQ test in army... Lazy to study... So I am not gonna study! hahahas!

Alright, I haven had a post for some time... Cos I was in Taiwan and busy getting ready to report to camp.

Taiwan... TO be really honest, I didn't really enjoyed my time in Taiwan... Probably cos I have NS on the mind and I don't like the feeling of being chained down to things... So yeah... But I am gonna share some of my photos from Taiwan! Well, they were all uploaded to Facebook last week... But I'll put the story behind the photos.

My hotel!!! It is a really cosy place. The hotel is like a small one not like those BIG BIG building kind. But the staff are very nice people and very helpful one. Now to show you my room.

It is pretty good for 83 bucks per night. Well, maybe I was looking for is a nice to sleep and I think this place did the job. Not to mention they have a big TV! Ok, it isn't really big... Liike 32 or 36 inch... But when the room is small, the TV look big!

When I first saw this... I was like... I LOVE TAIWAN! But then I found out that almost everything is built upwards instead of sidewards... Kinda save space I guess... And fast food restaurants in Taiwan don't serve CHILLI SAUCE!!!

Yeah, I am blogging while on my Taiwan trip...

I have trouble sleeping I guess... The thought of going back to camp... To a new place with new people... Kinda turns me off...

Everyone say combat medic siong... But I think I am ok with it as long as I know I am not alone there... As long as I meet new people and make new friends. No matter how hard things get, I think I'll do fine.

There are times when I feel like a chained bird... So many things I wanna to do but I am tied down cos I am serving the nation.

No doubt that I should serve... Cos Singapore have given me a safe place to live and provided me with opportunity to study... But at times it is just so sian...

Anyways, onto my Taiwan trip.

It isn't really the most enjoyable trip. But there shopping and people are awesome. People here are ever-so helpful. Shopping here is pretty good too! Got a couple of good stuff... But I haven got anything for anyone back home though... I don't exactly have much to spend either... And it really sucks to have to ask my mother for money.

Anyways, I think Taipei will be a awesome place to come with friends. Cos all the shopping places we went to are for the younger folks... So my aunt and my mum don't have much to buy (That didn't stop them from spending alot!!!)... While I don't have anyone to force me to try new stuff... Anyways, we still managed to get quite alot of stuff. Things are cheaper here too... Got a new Adidas sho for like 60 bucks? Where can find original Adidas at 60 bucks sia!? Ok, other than Queenstown and Peninsular...

Another reason I think Taipei is awesome to come with friends is cos girls are plenty here! Pretty ones luh! Then Damn Chio one also common lo! Ok luh, they make-up skills are up there one. Like no so chio one can make up until chio. Ugly one can make up until pass.

Don't expect me to post any girls phtos luh... Cos since this is a family trip, I didn't take photos of chicks. Speaking of photos, I won't post them this week... Cos my friend Wee Hong is fixing my laptop and I doubt I have much time to edit the photos on Sunday. I'll probably be at home packing for book in on Monday...

Think about it is just so sian... Hope I get to go out with my friends soon... That always cheer me up... Even when I am very short of cash now... hahahahahahs!

Ok, I know this was yesterday... But I was like awake for more than 40 hours with only 4 hours of sleep... I was kept awake cos my illness keeps me awake...

Went to the POP parade with my family. You know, to support my platoon-mates and for some photos~

What kinda irritates me is that I have photos of people but no photos of me. Cos the photos are with others... Then it is a trouble to ask people for the original file... Irritating...

Then I got home... I know I should have went to sleep but I decided to edit the photos and upload them ASAP.

Well, I was kinda tired and was suppose to go for street soccer at Opera Estate... In the end I dragged myself to go... I haven seen the guys in a while... It was awesome to see that Opera Estate was just US! Well, there were also the kids too... I think street soccer is more fun when it is just us, just like the old times when we first came to Opera Estate.

After soccer we had dinner at Bedok Interchanged before Haris and Alvin came over to my house for a while. Played Fifa 12 then we went to watch Real Steel with Siva and Louis! Nathan PS us sia! I paid for the ticket but he never come lo!

Anyways, the movie was pretty good... But my neck hurts cos we were in the second row and on the left... There is something special about the guys... Things can be really simple but still be very fun... Maybe it's our chemistry...

Now that NS is in the way of things... It has became a challenge to juggle my different group of friends as well as my family... Then again, that also keep things more interesting I guess. There is always new stuff when we meet...

I know that it looks like I chao kenged the 24km route march... But honestly... I rather be marching than being at home...

If I wanted to chao keng then I wouldn't have placed so much effort during the GP rehearsals...

I feel that I let so many people down... My platoon-mates... My commanders... Sgt CK who's been right next to me through out the rehearsals... My grandparents cos they were looking forward to my POP since week 12 of BMT...

Anyways... I am still sick and still frustrated with myself...

I am gonna see the parade tomorrow and I am bringing my grandparents along. It is the least I can do I guess...

Last week in Tekong! Of course I make this weekend good!

Friday night was outing with Sathish and gang. Well, before that I had dinner with my family. Then it was supper with Sathish and gang.

It was a very simple affair. Sharing army stories and stuff. Good to see Joey and Tong! The newer recruits and hear stories from school 1 and 4. I only reach home at like 1am? I didn't sleep till 4am! Cos I was playing Fifa 12!

The next day was outing with section 1! It was suppose to be dinner only. But Yi Ming, Joshua and I went to watch Friends With Benefits!

I was early and happen to come cross this!

Ok, I don't exactly love my company. I think my platoon is awesome but my company not really... But I can't describe how happy I was. I just had to ask for a photo.

Anyways, the movie was pretty funny and pretty hot! Cos got Mila Kunis mah! I still prefer the pre-nose job version though...

Dinner at Marche! The food was good luh! The outing was awesome cos we got great attendance! 10 men and 1 girl! We were surprised that Joel actually came lo!

Alright, finally the weekends! I realized I didn't post anything about atheism recently...

There isn't really much since I already post most of my thoughts in the past... And I kinda prefer not to post too much since my platoon consist of many religious people and I don't really want to anger them or something.

But I think since BMT is ending soon, I can express myself.

Prayer... Do they actually work? Of course no one can actually prove that prayer actually work. All I can say about prayer is that they offer comfort for the hopeless.

What I noticed recently is that prayer kinda prolonged one's suffering... I'll not say who. It was rumor that he would get confinement this week because of something but there wasn't an official announcement. The whole platoon pretty much knows that confinement is the punishment and I told him about it. But for days he held on to 'hope' that he won't get confinement. Everyday living in paranoia and cleaning an artifact everyday! ( The artifact was found to be dirty and thus confinement. )

Even when I got pretty solid news that he would get confinement he was still in denial. It irritates me when I was trying to help him get mentally prepare for confinement. But all he choose to do is pray... Even at the very last minute, just before the commanders announce the confinements... He was still praying... And looking at his shattered face after his name was read... It just irritates me more... He could have prepared himself mentally for the confinement... Instead holding on to false hope till the last minute...

Anyways, it is just confinement... It is usually slack... Unless he is unlucky and get the commanders I got for my 2nd confinement... Then he suay lo... That was a 2 day 1 night NIGHTMARE SIA! But I doubt so luh.

YEAH! After a shitty confinement weekend, this weekend was pretty good!First, I passed my IPPT!!! Finally! Ok, I was lucky that my last 2 pull ups count! Cos I didn't straighten my hands all the way. I'll work towards a legit 6 pull up!

OK, I actually don't have any plans this weekend. So I decided to just go out alone and shop! But I was invited to hang with my Twin! My old friend Yi Yang. She's my twin cos we share the save birthday! So yeah, it was great to catch up with a really old friend. We known each other since kinder-garden!

After that I went to look for stuff to buy! Actually, I was looking for Lady Antebellum's Own The Night album. But it is only released in US so far. So I got The Band Perry!!! Sound so good!!! Good Wholesome Country Music!

After shopping, I have nothing to do... So I wondered around abit cos I don't wanna go home yet... Then Sathish smsed me inviting me to dinner!

So I was Sathish, Seow, Guo Hui, Augustine and I! Had lots of laugh and lots of story sharing luh. Cos Sathish and I were the only ones who already enlisted. So we share our stories with the others. It was a really enjoyable dinner luh. Somehow this aimless Saturday turn into a day filled with good times and laughter!

Alright! I think everyone in the company are in high spirits because we finish all the shitty stuff that we need to pass BMT. All that is left is to do the 16km then 24km route marches!

To be perfectly honest, SIT (Situation) Test and Field Camp cannot be compared. The tiredness of field camp is more of the not enough rest kind. While SIT test is more of the do alot of things then everywhere sore kind of tiredness.

Anyways, now everyone is looking forward to POP!!! People are already planning for platoon overseas trip lo! Well, I am already going to Taiwan with my family. We are so happy that we sang much louder than we usually do but with only 2 sections! Anyways, I got 2 confinements coming up but I don't care cos POP SOON LO!!!

There is something that's been bothering me since the start of SIT test... It bothers me that a commander can go bullshit about us on his facebook wall... At first when we saw it we were not sure it is us or not. But we got the confirmation that he was referring to us during the SIT test. Yes, what he said is true but to go his facebook to bullshit about us... Isn't that guo fen!? Anyways, fuck that.

Update on my saber. I already picked my saber except for the colour. I still can't order cos I am still sorting out things with the people so that they would ship it to Singapore cos they don't ship it here.

Getting another Saber!

I know some people might think it is a waste of money. But heck! I am just gonna get my second saber to decorate my room anyways! Of course, it is kinda a marking of the POP milestone of my life.

Again, I am gonna get my saber from Ultrasabers cos I really love my first saber.

I think I am gonna go all out this time. By getting a model that has sound. Which would cost more. I am expecting the cost to be around 300 bucks.

Yes, I know I know. It is expensive and at 300 bucks I can actually get one of the official lightsabers from Hasbro. But only model that I really one is Qui Gon-Jinn's.

Starting next month, I am limiting my monthly expenses to 100 bucks. So in short, I should have about 500 bucks at the end of POP. I'll use whatever I need for my saber then use the rest for the trip to Taiwan!

Anyways, I am not sure what colour to get yet. Do consider that I might want to dual wield with my 3rd saber... Vote for the colour that might look good when mixed with another colour! So Vote In The Poll People!!!

Field Camp!!!

I am back from field camp!!! I'll try to mask some of the details because I think I am not suppose to reveal too much of military stuff.

The field camp isn't really tough. It is just a very tiring cause we get very little sleep... Okok, maybe it is because my platoon is the least siong platoon in the company so we don't get alot of tekan-ing.

Somehow more and more people are getting the feeling that our commanders have been lying to us about our route marches. We have been marching way longer than what they tell us every week. Last week, we marched '6 km'. From our company line to place X then turn back, so it should be 3 km to place X and 3 km back right... But this week, we are suppose to march 8 km. We marched to place Y then back to company line for our 4 km rest. Then we marched to place X for the final 4 km!

Well, all I can say is that the march was pretty ok. Tiring but I got through it fine. The field camp is suppose to for us to have a taste of jungle life and instill discipline in us. So there are alot of shit like keeping a low profile, doing things with hardly any light etc... Failure would be push ups and etc... Now that I see the field camp as a whole, I can't really recall a lot of punishments from my commanders leh...

The training we get inside are just very basic combat stuff. I find those really interesting and we have a test on the final day. We are suppose to use our teachings during the test. During one of the component I ran and prone into an ANTS NEST!!! Kena bitten like crazy luh! Fucking big black ants started to swamp and bite me luh! Normally in Singapore, black ants are like those tiny ones rite while the red ones we see are like bigger. These black ants of Tekong are the bigger than the red ones!

I tried to bare with the bites but I really couldn't take it and ran to the next cover even before my IC finish giving the command luh! Seriously, those bites were really painful. I passed the test I guess. Anyways, the trainings are fun because we get to fire blanks! And during the test, we get to spam blanks too!!! Super fun to just blast a full clip of 30!!! And I did it without earplugs!

And the closing ceremony is just awesome! Gunfire and thunder flashes everywhere. We got to eat well also. I think that the ceremony makes all the shit we go through in field camp really worth it.

Now that the most important event is over, I can start looking forward to POP!!! For those curious about my eczema... Yes, it did flare up... And it is really bad. Worst in a very long time... Now must really take care lo...

First time going to such a convention. So it is a very new experience for me.

So my company decided to give the IPPT failures RT on Saturday while allowing the passes extra early book outs... Which is like WTF!? In what universe does that make sense!? It is field camp next week sia! Don't need to rest arh!?

Anyways, once I book out I rushed home bathe then chiong out liao.

I reach there right on time! I was suppose to meet Siva and Haris at 3pm. When I got there and where are those two clowns? Eating at Burger King!

So I had to go find them lo, I was pretty worried that I don't have enough time in the convention luh. Considering we are gonna leave at 6 plus to catch the Arsenal Vs Liverpool game.

Ok, finally got into the convention hall! And the first photo we took...

With Mario and Luigi... That two clown take super long to just jump in to take the photo luh! Until they have to move the guys in costume to another area. And we followed them to take this photo!

Then we just walk about lo. There were many booth selling stuff luh. Even Lightsabers... But sadly they were the Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker (A New Hope version), which are pretty much the same saber with different blade colour. I am looking for the Qui Gon Jinn one...

We walked around and took more photos and stuff. I find the artist corner the most interesting part luh. A lot of cool art stuff and beautiful artworks for sale. I got one for myself and one for Haris. I am so gonna frame it up!!!

To-Fu Oyako! I know of this but it is for my brother luh. And we get to have our To-Fu Oyako autographed! So I bought like 3 of them and had to queue up to lo! This guy is Shinchiro Kitai, he is the Art Director of the company who makes these To-Fu Oyako. He was super cool luh, drinking Sake while autographing for people. He don't just sign and give, he got design here and there one lo!

Classic from Siva luh! But who is the one who told him to write that there? Me luh! Brings back some memories of EVSS man...

After the convention, we decided to take MRT back... But my ezlink card from poly expired!!! Then I lazy to go activate my NS one... So we cab back!!! Watched Arsenal Vs Liverpool! SO it was my bro, Haris, Siva and I!

Liverpool won!!! Although it wasn't a very convincing performance, but it is a big win! Even if it was a weakened Arsenal, it is still a decent performance. Talked lots of crap during the match. It is good times like these that I treasure. I really hope that we can do it again soon...

Sunday Guard Duty! Well, I can't say it wasn't my fault... Somehow I 'lost' the section key...

So we kinda lost our section key and could not find it. I was like the last person to be called up to search our locker. Somehow it was in my long 4... I did not even touch the key luh. But somehow it is in my pants.

So I got remedial training... I fail IPPT luh... Pull up only 4... So yeah... I book out at like 1pm... And I am suppose to be at the ferry terminal at 5pm... So yeah...

HOPEFULLY... I book out in time for the convention on Saturday... Most likely, I'll book out at 1pm... Reach home, bathe then meet the guys at Suntec... Hopefully by 4pm luh... Then at least I'll have 4 hours to enjoy at the event... I don't want to miss this cause I haven hang with the guys since I enlisted...

NS kinda change one's perspective on life... I always thought I am ready for overseas studying...

But my experience in the army made me have a second thought. Cos I really miss my family while I am in camp. At least during the confinement week.

And to leave Singapore for 2 years... That is a really long time...

Whether I go or not would be if I got the money or not. One of the contributing factor to the riots in the UK is that universities are raising their tuition fees. Some as high as 3 times the original fee...

That is really a lot of money. And it is not like my family is rich...

I want to reach the level of Masters eventually, it is a field I have interest in. Whether if it is in 2 parts or one long run, I am not sure at this point.

I might just do my Honors in NTU... Then maybe continue Masters either locally or in the UK... That is a really long road. Honors is 3 years then another 1/2 years for Masters... NTU's biological science isn't very good either. That might limit my options for Masters. If I go ahead in Manchester, Honors in 2 years then 1/2 years for Masters.

Fortunately, I have time to think over stuff...

First thing first... I think it is a waste of my time... It is standing in my way of my studies and my goals in life. But it is something that needs to be done. You know, Singapore is very safe and a good place to live. And I enjoyed the place for 20 years now. NS kinda kept Singapore safe and I think it is only right for me to serve also. Just to pay back the nation for giving me security and the opportunities I had in life. So in short, NS is a necessary waste of time.

Life inside NS... I am only speaking about PTP only. Is a lot of physical training. You get a lot shit from your commanders. If your commanders are nice, you are lucky lo. That does not mean that the commanders of the other platoons cannot fuck with you. Your life in BMT is pretty much dictated by your OC. If only my OC is a Warrant Officer... Then at least my welfare is better... Sadly, I got a Captain. Even vending machine also cannot use.

Life in my company is tough. Little welfare and tough training. Cos the company pretty much run on the motto ' Tough training is the best welfare. '.

i went to the live range already. Faster than most company. I am a BOBO Shooter. Cos I had to re-shoot like 3 times! The OC want all of us to get markman. So we shoot till we get marksman lo... The only thing that I actually fear is the field camp... Cos it is 5 days without bathing... And I am pretty sure my eczema will flare up by day 3. I'll probably be try as much as I can to clean myself before I sleep or something. Bring medication and stuff... But I am pretty sure I'll be covered in mud or other crap.

To be honest, I just want to go through the motion and get this 2 years over with. I have no vocation I want... Whatever is given to me, I'll just do my job there. Of course, if I get medical. That will spark some of my interest. Command school or not... I don't want to be a commander. Aside from the money... I don't see any motivation to do so... I've gotten alot of encouragements to go command school... All I can say is I'll try to perform in BMT, whichever vocation they send me, I'll serve lo.

A Decent Break!

It is book in day. So naturally I am abit emo. But I shall blog about the 3 days break I got.

At first I sounded awesome when OC told us that we got 3 days break. But when we realized that other company books out on Thursday... So we got screwed again...

Anyways, booked out on Saturday 7pm. Wee Hong and I went to have Subway. BUT we took the wrong field pack!!! I took his and he took mine! I only realized it when I got home!!! Fortunately he live in Tampines, so my mum drove me to his place to get that exchanged.

Sunday was the day I had an outing with the DBS people! Ate at Marche! I didn't realized that the prices are abit too steep for some of them... I need to pick a better place next time. Got to catch up abit while eating. Yan Ren was super late luh! But it is because he is preparing for NUS. Marche was pretty ok. Then we watched Horrible Boss! It was pretty ok, but I realized that I tend to laugh harder when I watch animated movies though...

After the movie, we when to Coffee Bean to chat! About Uni, about NS and stuff. I then realized how lucky we are to be able to chat about universities and masters and PhDs etc... Considering what I see in my platoon / company...

It is unsure when will be the next outing. Cos the guys will be in NS, the girls will be in Universities... Jessica is leaving for Scotland in September. But I am sure we will meet up in the future.

Then Monday! Well, I went Orchard for photos and some shopping. Nothing came from the photos. I got some comics and new earphones! WEEE!!! Then dinner with my family.

It is pretty ok I guess. I should have planned a couple more stuff. Then again, with BMT starting... I don't have mood for much stuff.

I dread going back to camp today...

And I know why. I don't mind all the training and IPPT... But we go through shit that I hate... Any normal person would hate.

So we got a huge turn out on Friday. Cos a few dumbass tried to be smart and buy stuff from the vending machine. The commanders found the cans and bottles... And all of us got fucked...

Standby Universe (This is a search of the ENTIRE COMPANY! Bunks, bags, locker, EVERYTHING!!!) and many of us got into trouble. Well, at least those with contraband did... That includes me. I won't say what I got. But one was cleared every time I book in and out... Then now cannot... Then another was allowed in other company but not ours...

I really respect our OC. I am very grateful that he is pushing us hard on the physical part. Even when I just walked pass him, he would ask me how's my finger and how many pull ups I can do. Even when I was at the sidelines watching everyone train, he asked me to do 200 crunches (Which I did). But really? Over buying drinks from the vending machine!?

I was really shaken by this... And I think everyone in the company feel the same way... I am so not gonna bring contraband anymore... Be a good kid...

As for the punishment... I am not informed yet... But we are very lucky not to get charged for bringing in contraband... Cos the commanders allowed us to own up first before the standby universe, which I did... This week was bad enough after I screwed my platoon for using the phone after lights out... Now this... Very depressing week...

So guys, don't try to play the system... Cos they system will always win...

Yeah... I kena confinement for the week. Cause I was caught using my phone after lights out. Lights out was at 2230 but I was using it at 2235... So yeah... The entire platoon kena called to fall in at level 1. Everyone kena whack like crazy luh. But I didn't have to do cause I was on status, I injured my finger.

Anyways, I wasn't the only one using luh, but 3 of us got caught. So yeah... I already expected the confinement when I got caught. But I was hoping that I was guard duty, cause at least I clear my guard duty for bmt. But no luck. So instead of booking out on friday 1915, I book out on saturday 1800.

Anyways, onto other stuff. Training has been good, even with my injured finger, I still attended all my trainings. Cos if u don't attend enough trainings, u also kena confinement. So yeah,taurus coy is a tough company. But it is not that horrible. Cos our ippt improved a lot and we are rewarded with an early book out, which is friday. If not arh, I will have remedial training on sat and since confinement is 24hr, I will book out on sunday 1400! So heng lo...

I am already planning to marathon my day before I book in on sunday. And things are going to get tough as we move into the bmt phase. Jus whack it luh!

Ok, I am now setting up my blackberry. Updating and downloading stuff... So I have time to kill.

Training has been good. I am just a few cm away from breaking 0 pull ups. Many platoon-mates feel that training has been tough. First we got tekan on Thursday... For reasons that many were unsatisfied about... Then we had AGR then IST back to back without break. Usually we get a 30 to 60 minutes break between training. I am starting to feel the strain on my body. Yes, I am abit tired... But it is my knees and ankles that are feeling the strain. Stairs and some knee exercises hurts...

Although training has became tougher, I still coping fine so far. And the comforting factor is that I just down one size!!! I went out yesterday to buy a Liverpool Jersey! I wanted the 3rd kit, the white and blue one... But they didn't have large... So I tried the away kit! The Large was abit big then I tried the Medium. And it fit perfectly!!! I got that one!

I later realized that, if I bought Medium for the away jersey... Then I could have gotten the 3rd kit lo! Cos they have medium in stock! Anyways... I'll get that one in the future luh... Probably before the season starts.

I was suppose to watch Harry Potter with Fu Yee. But I was early, so I went to the arcade! Played Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition! This was my first time playing that edition and playing Adon on the joystick... So I was very very rusty... But I beat this dude 2 games to 1!!! He used T.Hawk for the first match. He lost then he switched to Akuma, which I beat also. He retried with Akuma and beat me. After he used the Wrath of the Raging Demon, I just waked over and gave him a handshake (I know I am gonna die liao, so no need to watch the animation). I think he was also stun... Not common that people offer handshakes in SSFIV games. Somehow that made me very happy... Just to go offer someone a handshake...

Anyways, I was pretty happy with my performance. He wasn't very good luh. Played much better Akuma(s) on XBOX Live. It was probably cos I am not used to the joystick. So many things I have to force the joystick in order to execute the move.

I then waited for Fu Yee lo. Lucky her I am a patient person lo. Meeting at 9.30pm she came at 9.45pm! It was nice to just spend time and catching up and stuff. We went into the cinema to watch Harry Potter, she keep asking me who will die lo! I don't want to spoiler her luh, only person I'll do that to was Siva. I remember what I did when the guys and I went to watch Deathly Hollow part 1. hahahas!

After the movie I just watch her home then I went home to play games. I think its been a good week.

Special mention for Joshua and Samuel! Cos Friday night, I was super super hungry and there are night snack session (Must go down to platoon office to get food from our commanders lo, so ma fan one). But I didn't bring any. The offered their snacks to me. So we went down to the platoon office to eat. I had some of Samuel's crackers. Then Sergeant realized I am in Star Team (It is the Fat people's club luh, just that they don't want to label us as fat people), so I wasn't suppose to eat. That was my first and last night snack session... Until I am out of Star Team... When I went up, I found a packer of cracker on my bed. It was Joshua's, he said keep it well and eat it only if I am super hungry... That was very nice of them. Thanks guys...

1st Month In Army!

Today is my first month in the army!!!

Starting to settle down already. Gel well with my platoon mates and commanders.

I gain weight lo!!! Last week I was 82kg? Now I am 83kg! Which is kinda sad... Then again... I probably gain muscle mass than anything else...

I am getting fitter! I guess... IPPT still fail... But I did see drastic improvements lo!

Sit Up: 39 to 48! ( I think 39 already gold... )
SBJ: 221 to 216 ( Well, I did have an injured knee... )
Pull Up: 1 to 0 ( The first time I did 0 too lo! Don't know why they put 1. Anyways, I am in the Zero Fighter Squad so yeah. Still doing 0... hahahas! )
Shuttle Run: 10.2 to 9.9 ( Our OC teach us sia! Then we improve lo!!! )
2.4km Run: 16.22 to 13.15 ( Cut down by 3 minutes!!! I am so happy luh! Just 1 more minute to pass!!! )

Anyways, I really want to thank my section mates! Cos they make me laugh alot and we kinda endured together. So yeah... If I were to do this alone, I will die lo~~~

Today was a bad day... I have dental at 9am... But my mum's car won't start... So we cab there...

My slot was 9 to 10... But I got so much to do... My dentist ask me to come back at 11.30... I end up waiting till 12 before I go back in... I was just there rotting luh! Burning my time away...

I just got back... People from other company book out on Friday afternoon and book in tomorrow... We book out Friday evening and book in today at 6.25... Fuck luh~~~

Improvements!!! Outing with friends!

Yeah!!! I am finally losing weight! And my IPPT is improving too!!!

I lost 3 kg!!! From 84.7 to 81.8kg!!! Ok, this is not my lightest but I am losing weight!!!

My SBJ improved from 221 to 225cm! Sit Up from 39 to 49!

But my shuttle run slowed from 10.2 to 10.5s. Was super shagged sia... And my pull up is 0. I got 0 for the first time but they wrote 1! So on record, I deproved...

Anyways, I went out with Jessica, Fauziah and Vinolia today! Went out for movies and just catching up. It was pretty fun!!! Hopefully we can meet up again! Next time with Wey Jhian and Michelle. And it needs to be before Jessica leaves Singapore too~ I am waiting for Vinolia to upload my photo with her. hahahahas!

I got to rest my body too. But my Hive Tyrant and another squad of 8 genestealers. Fixed and primed the genestealers but haven started on my hive tyrant yet...

Really dread going back in... Maybe it is cos I love my civil life...

WOHOOOO!!! BACK FROM NS!!! I freaking miss civil life luh!!!

Some many things so blog but I am sure I am going to miss many things out!

Maybe I should start from the beginning!

I thought I was ready for NS... For all the regimentation and physical training. But what I did not prepare for was me missing my family and friends. The detachment inside...

That really bother me for the first 3 days or so... Kinda emo-ed... To add to that, my eczema flair up... Those were tough 3 days...

Fortunately I got a really good platoon commander. He offered to talked and got me to the medical officer. Got stronger medication and I slowly cope with my feelings for my family and friends through the phone.

Then things actually picked up. I started to interact with my bunk-mates! 16 of us! I think what made NS so much better was the company that I had there.

16 very different people. With different personalities, interest and background. But we are in the same shit together. They are a bunch of fun people luh. When training is over, we eat together, slack together, read newspaper together and laugh together. So yeah... Bonding very well.

The training was progressive... So it is not super tough in at the start, they slowing turn up the intensity. When we are introduced to a new training... Everything feels tough... But as the days go by... The same exercise becomes easier... Take CPT1 for example... It is JUST A WARM UP!!! The first time we did it... We all almost died luh!!! And we still got the actually training after that! But now... CPT1 might be the same but we get through it and still moved on with the training with less exhaustion...

The thing about NS is that the training might be tough... But once you are done... You feel awesome... Well... That's for me at least... I think I cope well with my training. Didn't fall out. Although I am lacking in some areas, I didn't just slack off and give up. Hopefully I'll improve soon!

The regimentation is abit tough to get used to... But I am the kind who likes to be early. So I have not much problem with that. Marching still needs some work... But since I am in a platoon... One person cock up... Everyone kena fuck... So far we are the worst performing platoon... The least disciplined... So yeah... We need to work on that!

Guess what!!! Shaun is in my Platoon!!! Although we are in different sections... But we live on the same level and train together!!! Good to have a old friend along for the ride!

Now onto my commanders... I think I am freaking lucky to have commanders who are nice and do not dish out punishments like they are water... Compared to the other 3 platoons in my company... I feel very lucky... They always kena punishments lo...

My sergeants still try to enforce the rules and train us up as soldiers. But they have a much softer approach to it... Maybe that is why we are the worst performing platoon...

The sergeants are formal and strict when it comes to training. But during free time, they gel very well with us! And we have lots of bonding time together.

So far... I am the blur one... Cos I am abit blur and shutter run I can actually run wrong. I pretty much skip the final return run and dash in the wrong direction... And alot of other blur stuff luh... Lucky those were not important stuff sia... Just minor stuff here and there.

Ok... My Platoon is known as the Up There one... Not because we are the best but we live on the top floor... So even after training... We got to climb the stair to return to our bunk... Even to use the toilet and stuff... Cannot use those on the other levels cos that belong to the other platoons. I usually just hold it there until we actually have to go up there for rest time.

Now onto food... They say the first two week, the food is nice. I think the food is ok luh... But no matter how good the food is... Also no time to enjoy it luh... 20 minutes to queue and eat... We just end up swallowing out food and run to fall in.

I think the use of vulgarities is a norm in the army. The commanders use it, we use it. So I think I'll become more vulgar than I already am.

Oh oh oh!!! Hygiene!!! Yeah... When you are in the army... Hygiene is pretty much half out of the window... Shirt can be used for days and same goes for underwear... But I think now that we book out on weekends... Things will be better luh.

Freaking 2 weeks with no girls luh!!! All we see and the aunties who cut hair and serve food... And the Super Rare female recruits! So coming out just now... Like Chio Bu everywhere sia!!! And who was the first Chio Bu I see when I got off the bus... Nova!!! Shaun and I just got off the bus and was walking to White Sands... And I saw Nova! Don't know what she is doing there but I just said what's up and left. Cool eh?

Ok... Before I go... I'll leave you with two things...

Off to Army tomorrow!!!

I did say I am mentally prepared. And not physically prepared.

However there is a part of me that is abit afraid. Cos of the uncertainty. I never assume absolute certainty. So that is why.

Firstly thanks everyone. For all the well wishes and all. From family and friends. Really feeling the love right there. =D

From all the elders... They make it as if I am going to prison or boot camp or something...

As I see it... Everyone made it out ok what... Ok... I am going to whipped into shaped.... THat is the only think I worry about... And also my eczema... If it does flare up bad... I might get PES C... Well... That one I am unsure... Whatever it is, it is best to keep a positive attitude.

It is 2 years when you go in happy. It is 2 years when you go in sad... So why choose the later rite?

Anyways, I'll try to blog as much as possible about my experience there. Of course I know there are stuff that I am not suppose to blog about. I'll try to stick to the rules.

Finally! WEIGHT IN!!! Seeing that I am going to the mandatory weight lost programme, I need to get the before and after rite!? So my current weight... 84kg!!!

Yeah... 29th was my last entry! 1 whole week!!!

I've been busy lately... Since I started my Warhammer 40k... All I did after I get home was to work on my models.

I was very glad to find a community who were very helpful. They gave me alot of advice and pointers. Even those who don't even work at the shop! And the Facebook groups too!!! I asked for help and I get replies in like a day!!!

I am playing Tyranids. But I haven got an army big enough to play though...

I kinda screwed up my Gargoyles... I screwed up my priming for that unit... It will turn out ugly when I paint them. But still playable. I guess I'll used that unit as my test subjects for my painting... But after I ask my facebook group and the shopkeepers... My genestealers turn out AWESOME!!!

Anyways... I still need a HQ unit to play... But the current troops of 10 Gargoyles and 8 Genestealers is hardly a force... I am thinking of investing in 16 more genestealers... Which means 2 boxes of 8. That makes 24 genestealers. I'll break them up into to squads of 12. That will make up the two troops I need to play. As for the 1 HQ unit... I am not sure... At this point... I am a bit afraid to invest in a HQ cos they are big and my skill ain't good enough yet... I don't want to screw up an expensive HQ unit...

This is another expensive hobby... Just like photography... But all my photography stuff have been paid by my dad... But I am paying for my Warhammer 40K stuff... I am paying back my dad for what he paid more me... Fuck Parkway Health... It's been 10 days since the day when I pay should have come... My patience is running thin...

I couldn't buy shit when I was at Orchard today... I did donate blood though! So happy to donate blood!!! ROOAAARRRR!!!

At first I wondered where my pay went... And I wasn't bothered when I found out about it... But as time pass... I am getting irritated...

Some dumbass from HR forgot to process my time sheet... So my pay for the month is $0.00...

There are some many things I need to get... 2/3 presents...

Starting on my Tyranids army... I got my Codex today... I still need a rule book & cutter... Paint... The battleforce set... All costing about 300 bucks... I could get 17% discount by the end of the month and that would save my at least 50 bucks... But because of this dumbass... I can't...

Getting in a table top game... Photography... And Army... Looks like I don't have time to do that... But since it is two years and I do get the weekends off... Both Warhammer 40K and my photography have lots of time to develop...

I am slowly losing my thing for gaming... You know... Nothing interest me these days... As the guys start getting into gaming... I am getting into table top games... If the trend continues, maybe I'll have Warhammer 40K opponents in like 3 or 4 years time... You know, they were slow to catch up on gaming.

Anyways.... One positive side to the thing is that they recorded my pay rate as 9.50/hr... I might get more $!!! Well... We will see...

Graduation Day!

Ok people... It is 7.30am in the morning... I have 30 minutes to kill before I leave for work...

Yesterday was graduation day! It was epicly fun!!! Well, I was the nutter who decided not to go through with the ceremony but still attend the event!

I won't have time to write a complete post now, I will later. Not to mention my big 'Bye SP' post that I wrote 2/3 months back look so outdated. I probably have to re-write that.

I'll post photos too! I still need to get some of the photos from other people.

Anyways, the ceremony was damn boring... Of course the high parts were cheering for Joey when he got his awards and stuff. I found greater respect for the future doctor after the graduation speech. If you were there, you know why. If you weren't, I shall not write about it. Good to know that there were many others who won awards that I weren't aware of. Sathish, Jessie & Yu You to be exact. Good for them. I was the only person clapping and Wooo-ing loudly in the guest section luh!!! People think I am crazy...

After the ceremony, it is photos!!! Since I was cameraman... Majority of my photos do not have me in it. That is why I need to get my photos from other people.

Anyways, epic moment was when we were all gathered at T11A for course photos and Dr Tan walk down the spiral staircase!!! He wasn't suppose to be here cos he went to the US to present his project! EPIC CHEERING!!! WWWWOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Other lecturers who were present include Mdm Mah, Mr Fraser & Mr Sng! It is so tiring to pose for photos and taking photos luh!!! But for memories sake, it was all worth it...

I'll fill in the details tonight when I post the photos.

After all is done, Jessica and I just left for home right after that though... SO TIRED!!! Had lunch at LJS before we headed home. Well, I kinda picked up Fanboys on DVD before I went to the bus station.

I got home... I felt the need to just go edit the photos and post as fast as I can. Considering the photos will feel less awesome if I were to post them 1 day or two later...

So I set out to edit the 231 photos in the memory card. Since I used RAW... Whichever photos I wanted needed to be opened via photoshop then converted to Jpeg. 98 was the final photo count. I total ignored the graduation ceremony photos cos there weren't any good and I am sure those who wanted that photo could just pay 5 bucks and get the professionally taken ones.

98 photos... 5 hours. That was how long I took to edit the photos. Somehow I was able to pull through the tired-ness & sleepy-ness and get it done. I really enjoyed the process of editing the photos and a big ass cup of latte sure went a long way.

So I was done with the editting. Throw them onto Facebook... And went on to watch Fanboys while eating dinner!

I already rent that movie once or twice. This is like the 3rd time watching it. But it is still awesome... It was a love story to Star Wars and also about friendship... A group of friends who were willing to do whatever it takes to help their friend. They went on an epic adventure to watch Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace before their friend dies of cancer. It is funny and it is touching at the same time. Well, touching for me at least... And Kristen Bell in the Princess Leia Slave outfit is HHHOOOOOOTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!! Even though it was for a good 10 seconds only... Anyways, totally worth the 13 bucks I spent on it.

Next Goal...

I had some time to think about my 3 years in DBS...

Which was unique I guess... I think everyone's experience is unique one way or another... Whether it was positive or not is another story.

I can say that DBS in SP was great. True, there were awful moments...

But one thing is for sure... I won't trade the experience for anything else...

The hardship wasn't as bad as what people made it out to be... But it wasn't a walk in the park

I see graduation not as a celebration of an achievement of getting a diploma... More like a end to our hardship in SP.

Now that we have achieved our diploma... What is the next goal...

Short term goal for me... Hmm... Is NS I guess... Not to die... Lose weight... Maybe get a 6 pack... Or 4...

Mid term goal... University I guess... Honors for me Degree!!! At least a 2nd Upper! Be it NTU or University of Manchester!!!

Long term goal... Work in a research lab... $3K/mth pay... Maybe staying and working in England... This goal is abit too far. But I got a general idea.

Progressive Goal... My photography! I am gonna have a busy week... Tomorrow's graduation day shoot... Saturday's Fort Canning shoot... Sunday I am camera man for Benny... So yeah... It is practice practice practice!!!

Ok... I am just stalling time cos I can't sleep... Need to wake up at 5.30am tomorrow!!! COME ON QUEK!!! GO TO SLEEP!!!

Grad Day Meh...

I saw a couple of grad day photos recently...

Gotta see friends in their grad downs and with their parents etc...

And I got the feeling that my family is the only who don't see the importance of the occasion?

Ok, you know my stance... It is just a Diploma. I'll actually go for the ceremony when I get my degree. That is an achievement.

I am still going for the photos and the fun atmosphere.

Stalker!

I actually wrote this down on paper cos I had nothing to do at work & I cannot surf the net. Well, I can but my boss ask me not to do it.

So yeah. The idea of stalk came about today, cos I posted a photo of the chick on facebook, under my photography album. Which Chiong Hui said it was abit stalkerish. I am not blaming him or anything. That just set me thinking... As always...

Was what I did stalkerish? If you look at my memory card, I took dozens of photos of her. Actually, dozens of any subject. I kinda read it off magazines to take as many as you can. Some will turn out good.

Somehow I do feel stalkerish... Cos I usually just camp at the side of the busy street and take whatever that interest me. Be it girls, couples, babies, ang moh etc... Then move on to the next spot and repeat. So that is stalkerish I guess...

Of course this is my way of doing street photography and I've been doing this for the last month now.

Anyways, I've been wanting to go to fort canning for some nature shots. But that was disrupted by the Adidas All In event. If no one joins me, I'll just go alone.

What I got was that it was a rhetorical question and saying I am a just the guy who got a DSLR to talk photos of attractive woman? Somehow that felt like an insult. Like they were saying I am some sick dude who takes photos of women on the streets for his own pleasure.

That is so jacked up man... It is ok for people to call me a pervert or whatever because I check out girls or like knock one off.. Cos that is the true. I won't deny that.

But to insult what I like to do... And something that is not true... Just based on one photo... Is just so WTF... They need to do their research before throwing comments like that...

Don't get me wrong, I am not angry, I am more sad and disappointed. One is my EVSS friend. And the other is from DBS. I kinda expected more from them.

I am blogging 1 day late. Cos I had things to do... Actually, just editing my photos.

Yup! I went to the Adidas All In event! For some photos and to support the guys in the street soccer event! Vicky, Siva, Haja, Haris and Navin!!! I am the supporter!!! LOL!

They did well. Got into the 'quarter finals'!

However... the photos weren't great... Which is sad... I used up all the space in my card... Photography wise, only a few shots turn up good...

Next time I see a beautiful subject, I need to focus on taking the photos and not just take useless photos...

I didn't know there was a talk by NTU for those who were offered a place. Until Boon Bin posted it on Facebook.

I wasn't planning to go. But Benny asked me along, so off I went!

Well, the event was so so... I didn't pay much attention consider the information provided from the talks was the same as the NTU Open House.

Half way through a talk by a SBS (School of Biological Science) student, he mention their club! Biological Science Club (BS Club) flashed onto the screen. Benny and I immediately turn to each other and said Bullshit Club. Sathish also had the same idea. The whole lot of us burst into laughter while trying to control ourselves cos it was a talk.

We were like just one group of ass giggling luh! It was so hard to control cos everyone was laughing.

One of the parents gave us the stare. Which I can only say... It's such parents that make us look like nerds! I know that I take pride of being a nerd. But you get what I mean. Uncool! Come on, have a sense of humor man.

Anyways, the event was pretty much unless cos since I am in, I am just gonna whack the course. Not interested in asking about stuff. So the group of us end up just eating and chatting. Loads of Laugh luh! We even invented a new version of a game that Benny and I love to play when we were in SP.

It was pretty fun actually.

After that, we went our separate ways.

I wasn't ready to go home. So I decided to go watch Pirates of the Caribbean. It was not bad but surely the worst of the 4 movies. It just could not get interested in the plot. There are some funny parts and some cool parts. But with an uninteresting plot, I can't get into it. I think I got abit more laughs than others since I just watch all of the prequels recently.

Anyways, I am off to sleep!

Ok, the term dragons, I kinda took it from Mason when he called me a hidden dragon.

What am I talking about? The CLS graduation awards list are out!!!

Joey got silver!!! Not to mention he is gonna study Medicine in NUS!!!

He totally deserve everything luh! Genuinely helpful and nice. What is really awesome is his lay backed attitude. I think his group really kick started my group's FYP. Without their help, we would be lost luh! Even when our projects diverge, he would ask how we are doing when he happen to be in the lab. Really someone that I am honored to know. =D

On the merit list includes Fauziah, Yan Ren and Yu You! Who totally deserve the awards luh!

Fauziah totally saved my ass during the last semester cos she handle all my datasheets. I just do my part and threw it to her. And she just covered the checking and editing for me. I think what I want to say is it was easy to work with her.

Yan Ren!!! I never got to work with him during the 3 years in poly. But he helped in many other ways. He was able to provide a matured and sensible prospective on things. Also alot of support whenever we are in hardship. Deserving of the award.

Yu You. Well, I know what happen on FB... And you know, I rather have take it as 'water under the bridge'. But it is expected for him to get it. Well, I am not surprised when I saw the names on the list. He is a hardworking person, too hardworking in my point of view. I only worked with him for my SPOT projects and there is not doubt he give quality work. Without his help, I would not have gotten 3 As (although they are just cosmetic As = do not contribute to my GPA).

Anyways, Congratulations to all the winners! Pei Shan (Gold), Guo Hui, Lynette, Jessie, Julia & Irene!

I was just thinking about things... Like always...

When parents ask you to study hard... Pay attention in school... Do your homework... They are right. They want you to have a good future...

And as I am standing... I think each phase of our education is like a chance for us to do well... PSLE, O Level, A level or Poly...

You got 4 chance to whack hard and get a direction in life. I fucked up my PSLE... But whacked hard for O levels. Not so hard for Poly. But I did enough to go where I want to go.

What I see now is people who did not do enough... And is stuck with limited options and no where to go... And that is just sad... But it is not the end of the road. When there is a will, there is a way. It may take long to reach ones goal. But if one have the will, they will get there...

That's all I have. I got other things I wanna blog about. But when I thought of it, I am working and cannot blog. When I get home... I am lazy to blog about it...

Childhood indoctrination.

Yes... I wanted to blog about this for some time now...

But you know... Work kinda drains me out.

Right to the topic. Childhood indoctrination is the root of the problem. As in religious parents would indoctrinate their child into whatever religion they are in at a very young age.

They feed them information that they believe that is true but have no evidence or justification for it except for a few really old books and hear say. This happens with almost every religion out there.

And children are like a sponge. They just absorb everything without questioning. So they just take whatever religious stuff that was given to them as true. In short, children don't have a bullshit meter yet.

That comes a point when one grows up and their critical thinking skills develop. And there can only be 3 outcome.

1. The person never develops critical thinking skills and do not assess their religious teachings.

2. They can apply their critical thinking skills to most things in life but make an exception to the supernatural...

3. They started to apply their critical thinking skills are realized that there are questionable parts.

Of course, I am talking about those who are already indoctrinated into a religion.

If one's critical thinking skills are developed enough, it would be difficult to get into a religion.

Another problem with childhood indoctrination is that they find it difficult to answer about the other religions claiming to be true. Each of them claim their religion to be true but it is only seem true to them cause they were taught that it is true since young. They are unable to have a neutral view on each other religion and pick which is true. Cos their parents already pick it for them.

Anyways, I think that is all I got...

O Wait!!! It is also child abuse!!! Psychological child abuse. Really! Teaching your child to love a magical man in the sky. Love him and he will send you to this magical place of happiness... Fear him cause he can send you to a place of fire and eternal torture... It is no different from telling your that the boogieman or the monster under your bed is real! It is damaging to different degrees but harmful none the least.

I took this off a notebook of a Islamic school in Singapore. My Muslim colleague gave it to me to use for work. Sent chills down my spine when I read it...

Some things to settle before NS.

Graduation Day! Which I am just there to take photos and chill after that!

Get skin care supplies. Gonna need them when I am in NS... Eczema is such an ass...

Couple of birthdays coming. And I already have in mind what to get for each of them.

Dental appointment! Just before I enter the army.

Photography! #$%#@%!!! Just when I got my photoshop, Tori Black (I named my Canon 60D, Go google the name! With safe search off please.) and getting into RAW file format... I am running out of time!!! I guess my photography gotta be limit to my weekend breaks...

Well... That's about it I guess... Wait for Liverpool VS Tottenham!!! This might has BIG BIG BIG impact on our next season!!!

This happened yesterday... But we ended so late and I was so tired that I had to sleep first.

I wasn't expecting the guys to come over. They haven for some time now. But it is nice to have company. I was expecting soccer at TP or something.

Haris, Alvin and Bernard came over for some games. I finally have people to play Castle Crashers with! This was fun and funny at the same time. I kinda cheated... Cos everyone had to use the level 1 characters and I had a level 39 ice guy.

Then we had fifa 11!!! I gotta admit. I was cautious since my 5 - 1 destruction by Hidhir during my chalet. My confidence was clearly shaken. But with abit of luck. I was top of the table. =D Free Frag Siva was lazy... Freaking clown live just in the next block and he didn't want to come over.

We pretty much did the 'Sean Kingston'. We ordered pizzas. Had soft drinks. Had chips. And we watched football! My bro also join in. So it was pretty much a party.

Then we had some shooting fun with my Nerf gun!

Alvin and Haris wanted to get taller. So we ended up youtube-ing videos and trying out the exercises to get taller! Epic fail lo! We also web-camed Siva to give him the finger. hahahas!

I guess I didn't think thing through when I went to get my graduation gown with An Wei...

I am kinda lazy to dress formal (I still have to spend $ to get a white shirt & SP tie) and go through the ceremony to get my cert.

But I will go to the event though. Just for the event and take photos for my course-mates! Free models sia!!! Wohoo!!!

I know I know... Since I am going to the event, why not just go ahead with the ceremony right???

Well... It is only a diploma. When I get my degree. Then that is something to be proud of. Yong Zher already have my gown and he paid me... Kinda... He paid me 10 bucks and I treat him to Mcbreakfast.

I am going there for the FUN! And of course the post graduation outings. Wohoo!!!

Well, work is so so... It is very much the same thing everything. I just get by via listening to podcast while working... Some people think I am crazy cos I LOL-ed while working...

So yeah. So I met Haris and Cna on the way home. And that really made me feel really good...

I need to stop getting lazy and just go for football. Whether is it street or field. TP or Dunman...

Yeah... I kinda came across this while watching youtube videos.

Manchester United pretty much sealed their 19th league trophy yesterday.

At the same time, Arsenal sink to an all time low by losing to Stoke City.

I really wonder... How many of the fans out there are truly fans...

How many would stick together with their teams through thick and thin?

It is easy to be a fan when everything is all and well. Your team is winning trophies and such... But it is the times when your isn't going well... Years without trophies... Those are the times when true fan-dom shows...

I have great respect for most none top 6 teams. Even more so for West Ham fans...

I've never seen Liverpool lift a trophy (I must be a jinx!)... I was the post Istanbul generation. But the passion burns. My fanhood was somewhat tested... Last season was meh~~~ And it went to hell when Roy Hodgson came into the picture... But the revival is ON! Thanks to King Kenny!!!

Speaking of revival... I always thought that getting 5th is a good target. Especially when I look at the last 3 games...

Getting to play in the Europa league is a big draw that will attract new players... Well, it is the best we can achieve... But that might only serve as a distraction... I would put getting back to the top 4 above winning the Europa league... Besides, we got the Carling and FA Cup to play for...

Ok... I can't vote yet... And all the talking haven been in Tampines...

What I am interested in is a Parliament where all of Singapore's best minds work for the country and it's people.

Currently, the PAP has control and things ain't going so well... The people ain't happy... And that made everyone interested with the GE.

Anyways, what I am concern about is the hotly contested Aljunied GRC...

As much as I want things to change... And I think the opposition have a number of good and talented people... I don't want George Yeo to be out of Parliament!

He is a good minister. Our minister of foreign affairs... And clearly one of the best ministers we have.

And the support for the WP is strong. Very strong. I know that the WP team of Aljunied also have a talented people. It is like letting go of a tried and tested tool for something that looks new and cool...

All I can hope is that people vote with their brains and not their emotions. As much as I am unhappy with Singapore, as much as I want change... I think there are some PAP people who did a good job and should stay. While others are just rubbish. So can be said about the opposition parties.

The GRC system is stupid... Why can we just vote for who we think is best! Then the top 82 votes are in!

Self Centered

Yeah... I kinda thought of that today... Very much like during O levels results day... I kinda just thought of myself and not other people...

I am talking about University entry... Well... At least further studies... Ok, I do ask a few people... And some I already know from Facebook and gossip.

I know enough about my class that I don't really care anymore. All the people I care about, I already have somewhat of an idea. What I am concern about are my friends. You know, the guys.

And I think it is difficult for me to ask them... Cos I feel awkward asking them... You know... Out of the blue... And I haven seen the guys for some time...

And since I am working, I cannot make it to Futsal on Friday... I'll try to go for soccer just to catch up with them... Considering Saturday is the 7th of May, I doubt there is going to be soccer at Dunman Sec... Maybe street soccer...

Osama Dead!

Yeah... The news came out yesterday afternoon.

I thought it was very good news. The figurehead of Al Qaeda is dead! It is a victory in some sense.

It took the United States army 10 years to get the guy... But they did it. Now whatever the true motive of the United States being in the Middle East... I don't think it is important in terms of Osama's death. The point is that the leader of a major terrorist group is dead.

Of course a new leader will take over his place. And the fight over terrorism will not end. I doubt it ever will.

Now some (like Haris) will say that the United States army are the terrorist... Which I would agree to some degree. The way the 10 year operation has been handled... Was poor. American's want their boys back as many Americans are dying... But so are the people of Iraq. Of all the talk about state of the art military equipments, many civilians were killed and homes destroyed. They claim that their objectives was to kill the terrorist, which they did fulfill to some extent. But one can't help but suspect that oil is part of their agenda too...

And there was the mention of the Weapons of Mass Destruction that were never found... With all the death on both sides (plus the civilian death)... And doubts of their true motive of the United States... The death of Osama has became abit muted...

It took too long, too much effort and money... At this point, Americans just want their army back...

Church Fail! FHM Model WIN!!!

I was suppose to go to the church event today... But I decided to detour to Bugis for some photography... Considering I had a couple of gems from Bugis a few days ago. Yes, I bailed on my colleague again... hahahs! So church fail!!!

So I was just wondering Bugis from like 11.30am? Then I notice the Mother's Day ads... I was like.. OMG!!! Mother's day is soon luh! Heng it is next weekend... BUT!!! I already got my mother's day gift. I shop while I take photos... Will show that later in the week...

Then I realized that FHM is having a event there! Got like a super large crowd that luh! Many people with DSLR. Including me... We Pervy photographers. hahahs!

The host was Shan Wee!!! From 987FM! He is very funny! So they were having some kind of showcase of the Top 10 FHM model or something...

An Atheist goes to Church! - Part 1!

Yeah... You remember what I said about me missing my colleague's Easter thing last Sunday?

Well, he asked if I were to join him this Sunday again. I pondered for awhile then agreed. It might turn out good.

I've never been to a Church before. So it will be a new experience. Ok, he didn't say it's Church. It is a Christian event... So it's pretty similar I guess.

Why I agreed? Well, I've been listening to The Thinking Atheist podcast lately (While working). He did brought up a good point. If your ideas are not challenged, then you are just a bubble person.

That is why I agreed. I am not looking for a debate. But it the subject does come up, I'll try my best to explain my stand. Hopefully it will be my first serious debate. If nothing happens, it will just be an outing with my colleague's family.

I'll be bringing my DSLR along. Since it is Clark Quay. I reckon I can get more photos. I almost forgot. I just realized my 60D has HD Video function! Maybe I'll go try that out!

And Dr Vincent Wijeysingha totally stole the show at the Singapore GE debate thing on Tv. I watched it on youtube. He totally PWNED everyone else. The PAP guy did ok... Yes... The PWN-AGE was so bad, that Dr Vincent was the only person I can remember from the show.

Anyways, hope that change. And there isn't much of a reason not to right?

Easter PHAIL!!!

Yo!!!! I am sick now... But I am gonna blog today! Even when sick... I still went for an Easter play/event. Get this... I was invited to go to this Easter event on my SECOND day of work... Outrageous really... But I don't want to be mean or allow my Atheism be known in my office. So I agreed.

Even when sick, I woke up early to prepare and left for Clark Quay. My co-worker was suppose to bring me that after we meet at Clark Quay. I went there early to have some fun with my 60D! 11.1X zoom baby!!!

I end up just doing my thing and wait for his call... But he never called... And I never bothered to go find him. I kinda left his phone number at the office.

So yeah! Anyways, first time having a zoom lens. So I kinda abuse my new powers!!!

Okok, first is this family of 3. There were at Central and we keep crossing paths.

They have a very cute girl!!!

So I went around and decided to eat at this place called Real Food. They are this organic restaurant thing.

It is the mushroom aglio oligo whatever... Not sure what... I only know it is mushroom. This was my first time eating such stuff. You know, organic, a pasta that is not covered with lots and lots of source.

At first I like... What am I eating! There isn't much taste from the pasta. But most of the flavor comes from the mushrooms. Which is good. I usually can't really take the mushrooms. But this one is all mushrooms. I finished the whole thing.

I really like the place. Very comfortable. Nice music. The owner (I think) is a chio bu!

With great power comes great responsibility... I am not being responsible... And here is why...

Weighting my options...

Now that the excitement of being good enough has passed... I can weight my options... AGAIN... I am pretty sure I blog about this in the past.

So I was very happy that I got direct 2nd year. Good to know that Benny got it too. I think Ivan too, although I am not sure about that.

What prompt me to re-weigh my options is because I visited my grandparents today. Just me. You know, Quek misses his Meemaw.

My grandmother was all for me going to UK to study. But my grandfather was skeptical about the quality of education I am getting...

But really... Considering the options at hand, University of Manchester is much better than Nanyang Technological University...

NUS is pretty much the best, especially talking about my field. But I can't get in... So it is between NTU and UM.

It is not all about rankings...

Studying locally means I get to see my parents, grandparents and friends... And it is alot cheaper.

The parents, grandparents and friends part is more important. The money... My Dad is paying... Don't think I am sponging off my parents. I have a freaking long plan to pay them back. But that is for another time. I told my grandparents just now about it. Their reaction: ' By the time you are doing that we also don't know where liao... '

Of course, I really hope my grandparents get to see me graduate from University. Heck, if I am graduating from UM. I'll FLY them to my ceremony.

But I yearn the experience of being independent... You know... The UK system is more independent and no more spoon feeding... Not to mention I get to experience a new culture.

I don't have to say that UM's degree would be more recognized world wide. Yes, NTU will do fine... But that is if you are thinking locally... I might not be working in Singapore. I prefer not to.

UM is like the all out option. Pay more. Get a better degree. And do it faster (If I get an exemption). But miss relationships. Since I am paying alot for my education, I'll probably work overseas cos the pays are much better. That means not coming back in a long long time... Which is really sad... Of course,

Thanks Benny! For asking me to go check my mailbox at 12.30am! He actually smsed me at 9pm. But I was busy playing Mortal Kombat that I did not notice my phone.

Direct 2nd Year. I was relief I got it. So now I have my back up...

But the letter say I have to indicate my acceptance before 1st June! So how!? Can I accept the apply for my UK universities. Then if I get accepted to a UK university I can reject NTU?

I better ask someone about this...

Let's start with work! I am glad that my boss was ok with me leaving early...

Work's been good... But can get really tiring as the day goes on. Considering I am pretty much staring at the computer screen the whole time... At $6.50/hr... I can take this job slacking-ly... But I don't like to do that... Especially when it come to work.

I am getting a hang of everything and stop calling for help already...

Now onto NS! People might wonder why I am happy about NS. No, it is not because I am gonna lose weight. It is cause I end in June 2013! That means I'll make it in time for the UK Aug intake! I called the BMT people and asked about it. You go in 9th June, you come out on 9th June. This applies to those who fail NAPFA. If you pass, you just come out in 1 year 10 months time.

So yeah!!!

After work, went to eat Texas chicken with Jessica! Long time never gossip about the class liao! Then we walked around while talking more crap. I got Jessie J's album! Listening to it now!

Then we went to Gong Cha! I was looking forward to it. Cos Multazam is working there! I was standing like 5 meters away from him luh! And I had to stand for a good 10 minutes before he noticed me luh! Good to see him!

I am not worried about the national service itself... I am just irritated that I signed a 3 month contract and I am unable to complete it... I'll still get paid for the time I worked... But you know... I hate breaking promises...

Another sad thing is that my blog won't be as active when I am in the military... Which is kinda sad... But I'll update whenever I can. Most likely during the weekends...

Looking on the bright side... I am gonna lose some weight soon!!! As for entertainment... All I need is my Irene yo! Listen to Taylor Swift... Listen to my podcast... Of course, whenever I am allowed to that is...

Arrrhhhh... I only worked one day... I keep thinking of what to spent with my money.

Whenever I walk around I see things I want them!!! But I am still not spending any money. I doubt I'll anyhow spend too... I am thinking of paying my parents rent though...

Well... I am 20... And kinda on the road to independence, although I am far from it... Sure, my parents are still supporting me. For food, Tv and my studies in the future... But I think it is only right that when I am working... I should help lighten their burden.

I get about 1K per month. Yeah, not a lot. But still... CPF is gonna suck 20% out... I think 10% would a appropriate amount... Which would add up to 100 bucks. I am paying for my usage of water and electricity (Excessive gaming), my room and food. I won't be taking allowance from my parents anymore... So ya...

Of course this is just a plan. How it falls through depends on my pay check... If it works well, this will continue... Cos during NS, I am getting paid... And the army is gonna house and feed me and stuff. So I don't have much use for the pay... Anyways, to this point... It is all talk... But I'll try to stick to the plan.

Meanwhile... Work on Monday!

Futsal! Liverpool New Away Jersey!!!

Back from Futsal at Kallang Cage!

I am so shagged... I skip breakfast and rushed my way to Kallang cause I was afraid of the people giving away our booking... But when I was there... NO ONE is around!!!

So I got the pitch then I just played from 9 am to 9.45 am! Then everyone arrived. Futsal was fun just the 12 of us. I wish more would come but many of them were working...

So yeah. Keeper skills were down the drain. But my out-field was better than expected. I mostly played forward. So I kinda hooked up my handphone to the sound system of the pitch. Everyone question my playlist sia! Got some korean (just 4), some rock, some R7B then Justin Bieber. Then when Line in the Sand by Motorheads played, I got the ball and scored!

LOL! Just a couple of seconds into the song, it just think that was so awesome luh. There were a couple more chances... But nothing came of them. Ming Sheng was very funny, You want to be Torres or Carragher? I was like, I want to be Suarez!

Speaking of Suarez! New Liverpool Away Jersey!!!

I looks awesome luh! It is black! So I can buy!!! I love the current away jersey but it is white. White does not work well with fat people. Anyways, starting work tomorrow...

Hired! Botanical Garden Fail!

Wohoo! I am hired! I was suppose to start work tomorrow... But since I planned Futsal on Thursday... I cannot cancel it... So I'm gonna start on Friday.

It is a 6 day week job. $6.50/hr. Which was $0.50 more than what I asked for. Which is ok, it's decent pay. And I only wanted to kill time anyways. Heck, the last time I worked, I wasn't even paid and I lost 5kg in 6 weeks.

So I went over to Gleneagles Hospital to sign my 3 month contract and get some administrating thing done. I met this girl. Which was weird cos usually, I just ignore people I don't know, especially beautiful girls. But all of us were held up in the office cause the office staff where having this big informal meeting. So we waited and waited. THen I just turn and make the sign of them talking very long...

We end up talking. We chatted while we get out administration thing done. She was nice. Almost too nice if you ask me. Anyways, it made the long boring administration process much more enjoyable. It is kinda weird to have conversation with a beautiful stranger...

I was planning to go to the Botanic Garden for some photography... But when I came out of the hospital, it was raining! I just went home... Anyways, it's been a tiring day... Considering I watched Liverpool V Manchester City, then I got the call to report at 10am. I end up not sleeping. In short... I only got 4 hours of sleep... Ok, off to sleep!

I think HDB is freaking brilliant... As you may already know, there is construction going on right in front of my block.

And they have this big drill thing that keeps ramming the ground and make this super loud 'Tinh Ting Ting' sound. It is so loud, even when I have my headphones on, I can hear them.

This is so retarded... Cos Right next to my house and the construction site is TPJC...

How the fuck are the students gonna pay attention and listen to class sia!

Even I can't fucking hear my Big Bang Theory without maxing out the volume!

So noisy... They should at least do all the noisy stuff to after 4 or 5 pm and do it on the weekends. At least the students are able to have some peace to study...

Good to know that I already graduated... TPJC students are so sway...

Hmm... I had some time to cool down... Actually alot of time... Considering I am gonna run later... I don't wanna sleep now, I might not wake up.

I think what happen between me and Yu You on Facebook was interesting. No doubt, he began using personal insult (which was uncalled for) and avoiding my points... I was pretty calm about it.

Ok sure, I blogged about it when I said I wasn't gonna bicker... But I still have the rights to let my emotions flow.

I don't get why he had to be so... so... asshole like... I did not call him out but he had to be rude and use personal insults. So uncivilized...

Everyone have their own opinions about people. No matter positive or negative. Sure, I do talk about my opinions about people but rarely to their face. Cos most people cannot take criticism. And I don't want to be an ass.

I did labeled him nerd and his nose hair is always long. But isn't that a fact? But you know, we always had a decent relationship. I kinda butted in to defend him during the 'Knock Over Flute' incident. And we pretty spent more class together than my other classmates cos of SPOT.

Now let's look into the mirror... Both of us had negative opinions about each other. Me: Being a busybody and big mouth. Yu You: No life nerd and long nose hair. But we kinda co-existed well up to this point. And to voice my opinion to his face will ruin our classmate-ship.

I am pretty sure we are aware of our labels... Well, at least I was. I would even add criticizing people and asshole into that list. So maybe he wasn't...

Everyone have their opinions about each other. They does not mean you have to come out clean about everything and tell it to their face. It will hurt people. This is social protocol.

For Gay does not mean you Are Gay

Alright... I was kinda bored... And I just gonna blog to kill time.

So yeah... Alright, I know the guys always kinda like to say I am gay. And like have a gay relationship with Siva and stuff like that. Which is not true. But sometimes it is fun to play along.

But I haven really join them for soccer or anything. So yeah... And pretty soon I can't even if I want to. If I get the job I applied for, I'll be working from Monday to Saturday.

Anyways, back to topic. Why this topic? Cos I recently saw Neil Patrick Harris and his boyfriend's adopted twins!

Cute Babies!

Yeah... Just copy and paste the site to go see. They are so cute! I am so happy for them.

I am for gay. I am for gay, lesbian, transexual, bisexual to be exact. But that does not mean I am one. I really need to stress that.

I think people should be able to love whoever they want. They should be able to marry whoever they want to. Mind here that Marry is not the one about 'Priest in Church and people fainting' kind of marriage. Just being recognized as a couple by the state or country. So far, I don't think Singapore does. But Singapore is always slow to change... So as other countries began to accept same sex marriages, so will we.

I don't understand why people are so afraid of gays/ lesbian. Actually, the fear is more towards gay. Mostly cause people tend to think of butt sex. Which isn't always the case. There are many instances whereby people truly love each other and want to start a family. Being in the atheist community, I know (Not personally) a few couples who are just normal people. Who have adopted or have surrogate babies (One of the couple contributed their genes to have a genetic off spring. Carried by a surrogate mother.). And now they have a family and raising their child as a gay/lesbian couple.

I can't think of a reason to oppose gays/lesbians. True, that some sexual transmitted diseases and health risk are more prominent among the gay/lesbian/bisexuals. But what is one gonna do? If you love someone, is health risk going to be a factor? Imagine telling your girlfriend that you don't want her anymore cos you has some sexual diseases... I know I won't.

As for those who doubt same sex parents can be good parents... Here you go...

And I am pretty sure many people will be looking closely at Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka's twins and their parenting.

And for those who object and condemning gays and lesbians on religious grounds... You are being a fucking asshole. Firstly, you haven justify your religion. Second, your religions does not mean it is their religion. You cannot expect people to follow your standards when they are not in the same delusion you are in.

Anyways, when I call people an idiot or an asshole. I am not saying that they are entirely and as asshole or idiot. They are just being an asshole or idiot on the particular subject. Yes, I admit that I am an asshole atheist. But other aspect of life, I am pretty nice. Self praise FTW!

Wohoo! Just watched Swift Too Sweet Taylor Swift!

I kinda recorded it for repeated views! It is made in 2010. Before her tour started... So that is a little disappointing...

But the show is pretty good as the provided some fun facts about Taylor. Other than that, it was just a few of Taylor's songs.

Taylor wrote over 200 songs! And I got only 50 plus!!! Where are the other 150!? I guess some never made the cut and some are going to be on the next album.

Anyways... I am gonna talk about music these days...

They are so... Techno-fied? Yeah... I know that they are just exploring and having different ways to express themselves. But it has became a trend to add Techno and Dance elements to their songs... For the lack of a better term, let's call it modernized music.

Of course the first was The Black Eyed Peas...

This song was great. I love it. Until the Switch up part. No, it did not ruin the song for me. It still like it. Just a little tainted.

I love the old BEP. But their had a gradual change in style. Starting with Pump It. Sure, they sound awesome. But as they get more 'modern', I get less attracted.

Katy Perry! Honest, I liked her first album. It was pretty good. But I'm not feeling so much love for her new one though...

Ok, the title of the song might already suggest the modernization of the song. At first look, I thought that Mariyln Manson was in the video, then I realized it was Katy in an alien make up. What is worst is that the first person I see in the MV is the Meanie Kanye West. Shall not talk about that guy.

Britney! Well, I was never much of a Britney fan.

But her last 2 singles... Never sparked my interest.

So yeah... All the above songs sound great. Even more if you have a decent headphone/earphone. But I am abit turn off? I guess? But all the techno/dance elements that they threw in... Maybe it causes me to pay less attention to the lyrics and just listen to the beats and the music.

Now to some music that is more of my taste...

She got a lot of comments about her 'MJ' style nose luh! I don't really care, it is her songs that is awesome. It is very cute and catchy. Here is another nice song from her.

Sure, these two videos have a combine of about 5 million views... Nowhere near the number of views the other videos get. But I think it boils down to taste... I like them.

Taylor Nightmare

OMG! I just had a nightmare!!!

I dreamt that I got horrible seats for Taylor's next concert!!!

So I kinda dreamt that Taylor had a second concert right after the Feb 9th one. And I was crazy enough to go for a second concert.

So somehow Taylor's concert had this opening act that is not our Singapore Idol but some other local dance round. I got two tickets. It was me and Jessica. So we were waiting outside the concert hall and I notice there are lesser people for this concert. Kinda expected it cos Taylor just had one concert and this was the second one.

Then Taylor came out to greet the fans!!! Wohoo!!! Even in my dreams, Taylor is still so awesome! She came out. Went to different group of fans and take photos etc... She even sang and danced with some of them!

Then we were brought to a second room before the concert hall! THen Taylor was still there interacting with fans! So when we got into the concert hall, I got seats like this special 178 bucks side seats that would have good view... But in the end, it is this table for two which is close but above the stage. But the angle is so acute! I could hardly see anything luh!

That is when I woke up... Yes... When I woke up... I realized it wasn't that bad of a seat... But you know... I got front row seats... Anyways... I miss Taylor... At least I can listen to her songs while waiting for her to perform in Singapore again.

Anyways, yeah... I woke up at 1 pm... Cos I slept at like 8am? I watch Champion's LEague then went to run... I came back and bathed... Then I watched TV... So yeah... Feels good to run! OK... Now leg sore~~~

Now till End of the Season

Yeah... I got like 30 minutes till the kick off of the quarter finals of the Champion's League. Which Liverpool will not be apart of next season.

Well... I want just blog about the team and pretty much the rest of the season.

Manchester City and Arsenal next... Both tough considering Manchester City just had a 5-0 win over Sunderland. And Arsenal is chasing the title... The Arsenal match is a dilemma cos if we win... Arsenal's already slim chances of the title will be gone... And Manchester United would have won 19 League titles...

Anyways, what I hope to see at the end of the season...

Reina to stay. TO be perfectly honest, if I were him. I would have left... If Liverpool were to sell him... Arsenal would be the more likely choice and I read somewhere that Manchester United is looking at the Atletico Madrid keeper...

Suarez to score 5 more goals... Yeah... There 7 games left. And it is a tall order considering the support he gets has been poor. Carroll to start performing and maybe score twice before the end of the season.

As for the league position... We can't go any higher than 6th. So I want us to maintain at 6th. Considering Everton is 7th with 4 points behind us... At least we get to compete in the Europa League next season. It is still a good trophy to aim for. So yeah...

As for transfer... Maybe 50 Million for defenders and a mid-fielder?

Ok... In defense, we got Johnson, Kelly, Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos and Aurelio. Kyrgiakos have to go... Carragher might retire... And the left requires so reinforcements. So 30 million all on defence? Either way... I am sure King Kenny already have targets in mind to fix our defense.

As for mid-field. Given the season break. King Kenny might have some time during pre-season to work with them. Maxi, Cole, Meireles, Gerrard, Lucas, Jovanovich and Poulsen. Chances are, Jovanovich will be sold. We still need a left winger. Which reports have suggested that Liverpool and Everton might be going for Seville winger Diego Perotti.

The striker force do not require new players. Kuyt, Suarez, Carroll and Ngog. 4 strikers is what I usually keep in my Fifa 11 teams. Maybe a 5th player. But usually a bench warmer...

Anyways... It is like 3 am!!! How am I gonna run at 6 sia!? Maybe run then sleep I guess...

It Has Began!!! MORTAL KOMKAT!!! Okok, Joking... Watching too much Mortal Kombat lately.

I just return from a run! Wohoo!!! Almost 1 month of delay and I finally started!

I ran to East Point then walked back.

Ok... I didn't ran crazy fast. But just you know, jogging speed.

It was great! And I wore a jacket to like increase sweating and stuff.

Anyways, I'll go play games or whatever then maybe sleep. Then go gym if the guys are gymming at Bedok...

Hmm... I've been thinking lately... What do I want...

Clearly, soccer is out the window. I like soccer... But only for fun I guess.

Looking at the last Impulse match photos. I started thinking... Yes... Only a few good photos... And I like soccer... I can combine both and take more match photos! Whenever Impulse have match. I can go and take photos!!!

I can sharpen my photography skills and Impluse have photos!

Speaking of photography... I think I will replace my 1000D soon. Hopefully the recruiter calls soon... Cos I really want a job. Then I can save up some money and at the same time raise some funds to get a new camera. Ok, this is the problem I have with my 1000D. It is troublesome under low light due to its 1600 ISO. And the flash is freaking irritating lo!

And the other problem is the limited zoom on the kit lens. I am looking at 70-200mm? In short, I want my dad's 60D. hahahas! And another complain is the lack of video mode. So ya...

Anyways, I am off to NOT SLEEP! Got to sleep at 11! THen wake up at 5/6 am to RUN!!!

UK Dreaming

I think I've reach a point of being crazy... Or at least my dream self is.

I had 2 dreams about UK in the past week! Crazy really... And I kinda made an effort to remember them.

SO the first one was last week. Not sure when. But I dreamt about shopping for rice in a UK supermarket! With a white chick! I didn't get to see her face. But very hot. LOL! We were debating on what kind of rice to buy. Yes, very silly thing to debate about. But it is a dream, so most of the time they don't make sense.

The 2nd dream was yesterday! I was at restaurant with a few university scientist! And we were just discussing stuff. Then I brought up edible vaccines and some of the research about edible vaccines I read about (I really read quite a few of them for my FYP). I think that dream was damn cool luh. Getting to talk to the elite of the scientific field.

Anyways... I am bored... SO I hope I get the job soon!

Wohoo!!! I bought Castle Crashers off Xbox Live and it is AWESOME! It is fun, cute and at times, funny!

REaly... I think this is the kind of games I can have people over and everyone can play! Currently, I think only Fifa 11 is the only game that can do that. And that is limited to football fans. But this one, you can just pick it up and play!!!

I completed the game with on Ice guy and he is at level 40 now. So I am unlocking all the other characters but other than my Ice guy, everyone else is at level 1. LOL!

Tired of Chalet

3 Chalets in 2 weeks... I am so exhausted... I wouldn't even blog about them...

I would blog about going out with Jie Mei though. Long time since we met. So I was happy to see her again. Even though things were different from the past.

It was pretty ok. We had lunch, we talked, we watched movie and took photos.

Jie Mei say photo not nice. Asked me to cover her face. LOL!

Maybe we can go Universal Studios together! Hopefully...

I have to admit... I kinda cry easily... Even Despicable Me made my teary when I watch it just now.

I am happy that he was able to make this debut single. Cos this means things are getting better for Chris and his fiance. Hope she recovers!

Think back on my decision

See... Being jobless means I got a lot of time to think about stuff... About what I did... About choices I made...

And one thing I did this semester was to not attend football with the guys on Saturday so that I have more time to do work.

Now that paid off somehow cos I got 5As and 1B... But now... I feel disconnected from my friends. While they are out (Gym), I am at home playing my games.

Was it worth it? That really affected my mood. And I am started to regret planning the chalet. Cos I feeling so disconnected and fear that I am a bad planner and the chalet will suck!

Anyways, can't do anything now... Just gotta go with it and hope it is good. =D

Re: Torres & Suarez

Yup yup! Time to talk about Torres and Suarez. Let's start with Torres.

I think the hating should stop. There are still a couple of haters out there. But I am over it. Yes, it did hurt at the time. When he made the move. It hurt cause we love Torres so much. But now it is over but I still like Torres. Yes, he is with another team. But I still wish him all the best. Gerrard was the man cos he was one of the first to wish Torres all the best when he made the move.

Torres hasn't scored in a blue shirt. But as Chelsea start to finding their winning ways, it is not a worry for them. But I happen to find a magazine with Torres celebrating a goal on the cover. It reminded me how awesome it was. And somehow... I would like to see him that happy again. Even if he is in a blue shirt.

That was why I was watching Chelsea Vs Manchester City over the weekend. Yes, he did not score. But he is playing much better. And it is just a matter of time before he start finding the back of the net.

Maybe this time... In a blue shirt...

Fun fact: If you google 'Fernando Torres' on Google images. You have trouble finding a photo of him in a blue shirt. Looks like he is still Red... To the people at least.

Now onto Suarez! Yes, he has been the spark that we have been looking for! He has became an instant fan favorite! Not because of how he score goals. But also how he creates goals. And he has a big smile! 2 goals in 5 games already! Ok, it is not be best looking form. But looks like he is settling fine in England.

Legend in the making? He is wearing the No:7 shirt... I think he has a lot of potential but it is too early to say anything. Maybe at the end of the season...

What I hope is that with the remaining 8 games, Suarez will fire in all cylinders. And Carroll to start performing. Carroll was close in the Sunderland match but still. We need this pair to work together. When Gerrard returns, Liverpool will be a force to be reckon with! And we really need all the help we can get against Arsenal. Although Arsenal is have some 'shot themselves in the foot' problems now.

It is a dilemma. To best Arsenal so that we MAY get 5th... Or let them win so that Arsenal have a chance of stopping Manchester United from getting the 19th Title...

Graduated... Happy?

Yup, My GPA jumped from 3.526 to 3.586. Which is good. But you know... I was hoping for at least a 3.6.

It has been a funny 3 years in SP. School is hectic, which I kinda expected. Am I happy that I graduated with 3.586? Hmm... Not really? I wish I did not put my leg off the peddle and worked hard abit. I was aiming to graduated with at least 3.5. But you know... 3.6 is just that little bit nicer but does not indicated bookworm.

How I got A+ for CCA sia!? I think SPOT contributed the bulk of my CCA points. And some other random events. I didn't really participate in my CCA. Which is photography. I learn most of my skills myself. You know trying out and reading up. So how I got A+... I have no idea. But I won't complain either.

It is only recently that I found the fun people in the course. Not that my class isn't fun. There are fun people. But mostly not... Alright alright, I think everyone is different and everyone have a different idea of fun. But you know... I just find the other class people more of my type of people... Or maybe it is just cause they are more united. Thus it is a 'more the merrier' thing.

Anyways... At least my GPA increase... Not 3.6... But close...

Fauziah, Vinolia and Wey Jhian for the datasheets! You girls did most of the work. Check and stuff. I kinda feel bad that I did minimal work...

I still can't believe it... I am still making sure the email is not from previous semester... But then again... I never got 5As and a B before...

I am so pumped! And I am here to declare! Immunology and Pathology Are My Forte!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since we are on the topic of results... I wanna jump onto Universities.

I already applied for NTU and I am awaiting their reply. I went to the UK university talk at Marriott Hotel with Jessica and her friend a couple of weeks back.

My Dad was ok with me going to UK... But the money... He said he will try to raise it for me. Hope we get enough. And I don't really want to go to the bank for money.

Scholarship is a good idea. After the UK thing, some of the University representative said that I have good grades and can try for scholarships. Which is a good idea and can lighten the burden on my parents.

We are looking at University of Manchester, which is recognized in Singapore. I checked. In the field of Life Science & Medicine, NUS is 13th, University of Manchester is 39th and NTU is 174th!!! Ranking isn't really that important.

Obviously, I can't go to NUS and I don't want to. And unless NTU give my direct year 2, I won't even bother with them. The problem with local university is the length of study... In UK, if I get an exemption, I can do it in 2 years and with Honors. Of course, money is the main problem.

Thanks to Dr Simon Tan, he gave me some valuable advice. About his time studying in UK and about what scholarship and stuff. He is awesome! I am not saying that because he gave me an A.

Anyways, if we really get the money, I'll go to UK. University of Manchester is the most expensive but the most prestigious. If we do not get enough, than maybe I have to settle for NTU or another UK university.

Mass Effect 2!!!

I've completed the main story line for Mass Effect 2! It is so good I really want to go back and play now. Explore the universe and complete all the other missions! Anyways, Spoiler Alert!!!

I lost like 4 characters in my suicide mission!!!

Thane: Normandy Generator explosion
Garrus: Normandy metal stab through him
Mordin: Headshot while closing collector ship door
Jack: Kill while holding Collector progress

Thane was the first to die... I was like WTF! Like that also can arh!? I didn't even do anything sia! But I did not use Thane at all, except for his loyalty mission.

Then Garrus died! I was like ' NO!!!!!!!!!!! '. I like him!!! He is so cool!!! I always pick him and Miranda. I pick Garrus cos he is cool and I upgraded the sniper rifles alot. Miranda is cause I want to have sex with her. More on that later.

The Mordin died! I was very sad... Cos I always see him working while I was upgrading my weapons etc... He is the 2nd most talked to person on the ship... You know... 1st is Miranda.

Then Jack died just when we are done with the suicide mission... That crazy whack... I didn't really like her... Powerful... But very crazy... I didn't even earn her loyalty when I completed her loyalty mission luh! Probably cos I sided Miranda in her argument with Jack... Anyways, she's dead and she can go screw herself...

Ok... Miranda... At first, she's like the only chick I got on the ship. You know... Might wanna get lucky... I was nice to her. Talked to her. Picked her for most of my missions. Even sided her when she argued with Jack... But nothing happen! I don't know what I did wrong... Why Miranda! Why! Why! Why!

Then came Tali... She was the last of the recruits I got. At first she look very cool and all. With her helmet and suit and stuff. Then I find her awesome cause she was willing to go to exile for her father. Properties I like alot. Then she is all cute and stuff when she admits she likes Shepard. The Score!!! Unlocked Achievement! Paramour!!! But I felt it is not an one of thing, you know. Still talk to her and said I'll wait. I hope to import this save to Mass Effect 3 and hope continue the relationship.

My least used characters are Jack, Jacob and Samara. I don't know why... But Jack is too crazy for me to handle. Samara was like the 2nd or 3rd last character I got. At that time, I was into Miranda so I had to choose her and I also kept using Garrus. I think I am so racist luh! I didn't use Jacob except for the initial missions! Okok, I was kidding. I used him in the initial missions but as I got new characters, I kept trying them out plus Miranda. So it was always Miranda and the new guy.

I really like the game and Tali! She rocks! I am going back to the game now. Exploring the universe!!!

On a side note... I failed getting a human girl when I got so much time with her... But I got an alien girl when she just joint me... This can only imply one thing... I am only capable of getting alien chicks!!! And with space travel unavailable for the foreseeable future... I am so going to be single forever luh!!!
